If you use a logitech gaming pad, you should be able to download their profiler software and map keyboard keys to buttons on the gamepad. I typically perfer this over using a game's built in gamepad support, as you can do a lot more with it (such as have one gamepad button that hits a sequence of keys).

I believe you can change it from the Options menu. Try looking at EspioKaos's translations in the "PSU Menu Translations" thread.
