ahaha, i once tested this in elementary school, i dont remember the exact count but it was somewhere around 500

I did a science project on this once.

It averaged to be about 486.

Junior High science classes were great, the teachers didn't care what was actually science and what wasn't.

Going by the old commercials, if each lick the owl took removed the same amount of candy as each of his first two licks, it would be about thirty or something. I seem to remember figuring that out as a kid. I may just be making it up, though.

But yeah, those numbers in the hundreds sound about right.
