It looks to me Geneon (people who published Samurai Champloo here) has its tag on the anime. Meaning that Geneon will probably liscence its self down yonder.

Granted they finish the series that is. XD

in terms of the anime vs game. It messes up very badly (As of episode 1; portions of 1, 4 and 10(!?) were involved, plus the entire beginning is totally whack). Though it isn't say "Weak"
