I'm at the point where you enter your ID and pass, i think right before the user agreement page. Problem is, when I select the field, and type, nothing shows up in the boxes http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

anyone have any sugestions/had the same problem?

I think you need to download some file to let your computer type in japanese symbols. There was another topic with someone having the same problem..

I bet you probably still could've logged in, you just wouldn't be able to see any of yoru text, but it would still be there.

As long as your laptop has a CD/DVD Drive, you should have no problem, you can install the necessary stuff from the Windows XP CD.

Hoy hoy, Shade-. Another friend of mine had this problem, not being able to install IME.
Here's what helped him out:

Control Panel>Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options>Regional and Language Options>Click Languages tab, (click Install files for East Asian Languages, if you hadn't) > Details> Click Add, under Input Language scroll down to Japanese, under Keyboard layout/IME It should say something like Microsoft IME Standard 2002, or Microsoft Natural Input 2002. Click OK. Japanese option should be in the Installed services list. Switch over to the advanced tab, and make sure the "Compatability Configuration" is active. Click apply, and it'll want you to reboot. Reboot, and you should come back into Windows with a languge switcher actived.

Hope this helps!
