I was wondering if maybe someone could make a fraps video of you playing on dial up to give dial up users a taste of what we can exspect? maybe Parn ? i really liked how smooth your videos ran also.

Good grief, just wait until the retail English version is out, then you'll be able to ry and go online yourself, ok? That way you can get a definite answer. If it works, then so be it. If it doesn't then you've still got a nice game to play offline. Got it?

It's a good thing that I have DSL, but anyways, yeah....you need to wait until the US version comes out and find out for yourself. FFXI is dial-up also, so I don't see why it would'nt be dial-up compatible.

Ryna's already tested & proved that dialup does in fact work. If it works on PC, it will work on PS2. X360 will run through Xbox Live so those who are on that, already know the deal.

Can mods merge threads in this forum?

though i think people might not like to here it again, this is a valid ther thread, no amount of words will convey how bad it is all the problems sound like stuff 56kers are used to, the question is the frequency or how lagged is it. And only a beta testers footage taken at good frame per sec or each individual actually trying it out when its on sale will answer that

and when starting a quest, we may be forced to wait for the slowest guy to finally load

I remember starting pso gc with dialup, then when we switched to highspeed it was greatly improved.

Me too, first I had dial-up and the load times for quests were REALLY slow, it really ticked me off when I had a call come in. I would rant and the such, and even pick up and hang up and reconnect, but since I have DSL it's been smooth.

In our house we had two phone lines, and the dilaup cost was in hours for the internet, which was more costly.

Dialup as an old technology is in worse condition than VCRs. Everyone still uses vhs, even though dvd players are quite cheap for everyone. But no one wants dialup anymore.

Actually the recording of the video wouldn't really have anything to do with your connection. Your game might lag if your PC is struggling to keep up with game data and recording, but that would be a hardware issue, not a connection issue.
