Any beasts in beta gotten to 20 yet?

Nope. He's just an NPC. From what Ryna's told me, if you create a beast character, Leogini will show you around Clyez City at the beginning of the trial. (Depending on what race you choose, you'll get a different character. Humans get Hyuga, newmen get Maya, casts get Lou, and beasts get Leogini.) Anyway, eventually you'll get that character's Partner Card which you can use to have that character join your party and accompany you on quests.

Well, I am hoping to get my Beast to level 20 tomorrow myself. (She is level 11 right now, but lol, it hasn't been hard to level fast http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif). I am just wondering how the nanoblast is triggered. Whether it is automatic, or the player can trigger it whenever the requirements are met.

Same here, but with SUV weapons. My cast is level 21 already, but I have no idea how to make use of SUV weapons.

So that nanoblast was just from NPC leo, and not from an actual player.

If that was just Leo, couldn't that still mean players can't do them? Maybe they just have Leo there to showcase the nanoblast. If so I'm pretty sure they would add it later on.

Exactly. Only the leader can call an NPC to the group in the trial, and that character will reflect their race.

The NPC can be semi-helpful if you are soloing. Don't take one into a boss battle though...

First, you have to complete the tutorial. After that is done, press F4 and pick the first choice. Highlight the NPC's name and select "yes." The NPC will join you if you are the leader. You can also use this mechanism to invite people on to your team, even if they are on another server.

NO YOU DON'T! I may not be able to play the Beta, but, I've played the demo. Hyuga's not exactly the ideal partner. Trust me on this!

Hyuga isn't that bad. He'll follow you around and attack the occasional enemy with a Photon Art. He generally doesn't get himself killed like Lou does. Leo or Maya would probably be more useful though.

When I played the demo Hyuga seemed alright. Karen was more helpful though. She revived me a couple times and did more damage to De Ragan than me.

I still don't understand Lou. She's a Ranger by all means, but yet she attacks point blank with a rifle. I decided to try her out in a Rank C De Regan mission with Ryna. It went fairly well for the most part, as Ryna did a superb job attacks, and making sure both my Lv13 self and Lou were fine.

However, when we got to the Boss fight, Lou had no intelligence whatsoever. She was constantly in the way of the De Ragan's fire breath, and was soon laid to waste. I swear, that battle in itself is another story in itself...
