Those with the import:
What are you guys gonna do if Sega decides to put out a fixed version of the game?
I'd order the import now but I don't want to have to pay for imported copy again.

Well I figured as much. I just wondered if anyone had any good ideas other than importing the game again, but I'm guessing there isn't any.

I don't know what you all talking about and don't want to know but am getting my this 30th at my local ebgames store. I really don't care about keyboard I use to play pso without keyboard when I was broke. I'll buy the bba 2 weeks after I get pso I&II.

There will be no fixed version. Why? Because Sonic Team is uploading two new Quests and three new levels of Challenge Mode on the 17th. Now why would they do this on servers that are going to be doomed and deserted by the end of the month?

What Zarana said. There will be no fixed JP version.

Well unless they decided to actually let you importers enjoy your current version and upload a quest or two they already made.

Sonic Team is too heartless to do something like that.

Wait, so Jp versions are stuck with the bugged version? And US is getting the fixed version. Arn't most people with import also getting the US verison when it hits stores on the 29th?

If the 'fixed version' is really taking two months to develop like they say, it probably won't be the US release.
we'll see, if the us version is glitch free. Meaning no fsod or duping or whatnot, then ill consider purchasing it, otherwise ill wait for a fixed jp rerelease.

i spoke to therage.com and they said that if a fix is released, they'll think about handling the trade for everyone that imported from them

If therage.com does it, VGD will too so thats reassuring.

So, my next question is: how can we find out from Sega of Japan about any info on a fixed version of the game? I've contacted Sega of US and of course they have no information, supposedly. I don't speak enough japanese to understand their webpage quite yet.
All I'm wanting is some concrete information that tells me I should wait to import GC PSO. I'm dying to import it but I don't want the bugged copy so...
Anyone have any ideas?

WHY are you going to import PSO? Today is Oct. 13. The game is released stateside on the 29th. Sixteen days. Sixteen days.

Ugh, so confuzing...
JP PSO, which apparantly needs to be exchanged for a fixed version.
Main concern: will my character be okay?
JP BBA on a US GCN. Doesn't work because my broadband is queer.
Main concern: My broadband will be normal and the BBA still won't work cause I'm using a US cube. Hence 30 dollars wasted.
Keyboard. Don't have one, but waiting for one. I don't want to get the japanese one because I just need a keyboard, not a huge controller.

Dear God...why does Sonic Team have to make things so complicated? >.<

Because I don't want to pay ~$9/mo when I can pay ~$4/mo, and I love the japanese culture and think it would be interesting to import a game for once.

Ever bought something from a local store before? Ever bought anything off of the internet?

Yes I've done both. What's your point.

Wasn't meant to be rude (my last post). I would really like to know your point.
It's simple really. There is nothing exciting or remotely interesting about buying an imported product. Just like going to a store and buying something. In fact, you're not even really importing the game, you're just buying it from somebody else that imported it.

Ok well I wasn't brought up with a silver spoon so saving a few bucks a month on the monthly fee is nice. Thanks for giving that part credit.

I think I remember hearing about a first free month thing. I'm not cheap and I don't live off dirt in case you are thinking so. In fact, I live quite nicely for a sophomore undergrad in college. Saving money for me means more spending money.
I wasn't raised with a silverspoon either http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
I'm just saying that there is nothing different with buying a imported game. Well, maybe the language of the manual.

Just have patience, it's only two weeks away. It'd be stupid to import now anyway.....
