Alright I have never played any PS games but I have played other rpgs and usually at certain lvls you learn abilites. For instance : In FFXI, when Warriors reach level 5 they learn provoke. Will hunters beable to do more then just whack stuff? Thats all I'm asking. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Yeah, it seems strange that they would only give beasts & casts special abilities, while excluding the Human & Newman races.

Well, they haven't said "no" to Newman and Human abilities, as far as I know. It's possible that they too have something up their sleeves--it might be that you would have to level up much more to obtain them, though.

your "abilities" are wacking stuff in new ways. levels will give acess to more and different weapons with new and different abilities.
Freezing stuff for Ras
VArious photon arts for hunters, and from vids what looks as if it could be combos of special attacks ( they had something where someone knocked enemy into air than hit in air i think) but as far as different none combat or magic type abilities, i doubt it. And in the sense of ffxi and games like that, its really a very different type of thing, think of it more like Secret of Mana or Legend of Zelda.

If you don't mind snes era games, and feel like killing a week of your life, play PSIV. 'tis a great underrated game, and it has newmen. You can't lose!

PS4 Underrated? No. Maybe a little underappreciated, though.

The fact that the PS games were just about as good as their FF counterparts (if a bit cornier, but I love corniness) and the fact that I haven't heard about PS until I saw an add for PSO on my copy of Sonic Adventure II for the gamecube says that PS was underrated.

They're a bit old for my taste, but a with a little sprucing up, I'm sure they can become greatly enjoyable for those who dislike new era games.

Someone should remake them word for word, if in slightly better graphics. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
