Is there a release date yet?

Not that I know of, hehe, I've nearly broken my refresh button by the amount of clicking I've done on E3 covering sites hoping for new info to emerge.

But to my knowledge nothing new has been mentioned about a release date yet...

For the moment, it is still "Fall 2006." We're hoping to learn a more concrete date once Tomeeboy is able to report the results of his interview with Takao Miyoshi.

Miyoshi-san actually wasn't able to comment on this, but Sega PR had a list of release dates at the show and told us Fall 2006 for PS2, PC and Xbox 360. That is the most specific date we could get.

Of course he can't say anything about a release date! Though personally I think he could have, but wants to hold us in suspense. Especially us former beta players who've already had a taste. He'd rather see us writhe and twitch in anticipation like drug addicts whom haven't had a fix in days.

on IGN I've seen the release dates on PSU for all versons for October 2006, but I'm not shure how trust wothy that date is given by IGN but there usualy relitivaly reliable as a game source so the best we can do with right now would be a fall 2006 release. indeed

Man, Fall is a really bad time for it to come out IMO. There are so many games coming out then (including 2 new consoles) that I probably won't have time for a game like this. Not to mention I'll be in school then as well.

i hope you're right.... i promiced myself I wouldn't get the wii until i got bored of PSU or until they made a cheap bundle for it. (I'm tired of getting screwed over by buying stuff first day then having it come with a game and cost less a few months later)

Well, look at it this way. 5 months of the year have already flown by. I remember when we were still talking about how pissed we were that they delayed the release for us until Fall, or when Japan got that mysterious 2006 date.

well, IMO, theirs still time for ST to bug test PSU and fix those up, and make any alterations and improvments to PSU that are needed.

Plus, this is just speculation on my part, there's a possibility of ST might be working on some of the first online quests.
I mean, they've got to have special quests for PSU like PSO did, it wouldn't be the same without them IMO. *crosses fingers that there will be some quests available after release*
