Seems on May 15th at 15:00 Sonic Team will be closing the beta site and bbs.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I speculate that they wont have another beta if they're closing down the site. On the bright side this brings hope for an earlier release, both JP and US wise.

doesn't really mean an earlier release http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif just means that site is going bye bye!
prehaps to be replaced by an open beta site!!

Why do they even need to bring the site down at all? We will just have to wait and hope to hear more info.

Wavey: If they were going to move to OB, why take down the site? All they would have to do is unlock the BBS and you have your Beta site right there.

avai: Only reason to bring it down would be so they wouldnt have to update it, and they wouldnt have people spreading password/users to get into the bbs and leak more info. Closing it is a likely sign that there will be no more betas, and they want to keep everything under wraps till release.

I see I'm not the only one that took a pic of the (No. 57) message when the servers went down for good.

Hopefully this leads to a release date.
