I have a question about weapon Classification for the beta testers:
What weapons could each class use? And could you gain access to weapons you couldn't before in the class as you leveled up (Like, once you reached a certain level, like 20 or something, you could then use axes?) and were weapons class specific for ever, or if you trained in one weapon long ennough, could you use it in other classes? ex.: You trained the with a Sword for a long time, could you eventually use it in other classes? like Forces?

I think that a lot of weapons will be class specific, like rifles and staffs.

*Even if you could use a sword with a Force, I don't think that'll work out...

yeah this is a good question, it seems to involve atp, and something with what class you are with the weapon, then something with overall weapon type. any body got specifics?

In the beta, I don't thinking leveling up the class actually made any more weapons available. BUT, even with that being said, it is assumed that your class level will at the very least allow for higher ranks of weapons to be equipped. I think its a bit unlikely to expect too many more weapons to become available, but over time, you'll most definately become more proficient at the ones you already can equip. I know at the very least some weapons will become available since at first, nobody can use double sabers.

This probably prevents twinking. In PSO, as soon as you got the ATP, you could equip the weapon, but in PSU, you need to have a high enough rank in the weapon. Like a rare might be an A rank or an S rank, but initially you may only be able to equip rank B or rank C, until you get a higher class level.

For a list of who can equip what, i would refer to this thread -> http://pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=111350&forum=20

Further preventing the twinking is that you can no longer cheat the system when it comes to equips. If an item says you need this much of a certain stat to equip it, you can be assured its referring to base stat, prior to any units added on. So no, you can't equip a power unit to make up for missing ATP, you actually have to go out, and level it up.

And besides that, no stat-increasing mags anymore either... much less the L1304 ones. XP

Yay!!

I didn't like mags floating behind us anyway, too weird. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

and it was kind of cheap using them to boost up stats. feeding them was such a chore. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
