Wow i cant beleive it tells you to use Heavy fog. If your having trouble wiht her you shouldny have heavy fog yet, it being S and all. WEll the way i went with her is Guard creatures liek the guide says but i also used Heavy Blows. I wouldnt even have used guard creatures if it wasnt for Wave Motion. It dose 1.5x the dice rolled, for thos who dont know about it. than if she used Dice fever she will do +7 dmg. so with heavy blow or Golvulmer she usally dose about 1 dmg.

Or you could just use Seals to stop Wave Motion completely...:

To say that I beat her with really crap cards, had to try many times but managed (don't know how). This is kinda what I had in my deck, not all cards are written here...
x3 Rag Rappy
x3 savage Wolf
x3 Dodge
x3 Guard
x3 Mothmants
x3 Slash
I think she went in a corner. I blocked her there (using crap creatures, small but fast to invoque) so she couldn't touch me and as I was using Rufina attcked from the diagonal. Man I must have been lucky! It was also my first time so I didn't have amplum after http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
You used Rag Rappies and Mothmants??? I think you did a good job in that case!

Well, I blocked Castor with them and since I could spawn them without losing too many attack points, I used slash and stuff and did big damage with Rufina, that's all. It's a really tough strategy since you need luck for Castor to actually move to a corner where you CAN spawn your creatures directly...

Rufina is probably the easiest character to beat Castor with. I managed to completely mop the floor with him using a Sinow red and Heavy attack/beat spam (14 damage FTW http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif )
Still, everybody has methods which work for them. If you're having troubles, try analysing what the problem is and see if you have any cards to stop it (yes, guard creatures work)

Also you can try a solo deck, but that's even tougher. You basically just get guard creatures and many guards espcially dark defence. Use a character with strong magic/attack and load the deck with magic/attack cards. It a strat that served me well on my second time http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

If you do that battle with either Break, Lura, or Endu you get a special scene

But you need to see all cut scenes with that character to able to. But I've had problems with that, how do I get the assurance that Endu is gonna be available?

Witchever character you used more often in story you can use. Like if you picked Break more often than Lura and Endu you cant use Lura or endu in the Final battle. Also it dosent matter how many scenes you have seen with each character. if you want further help go to Gamefaqs.com

In my opinion, completing the game comes before redoing the stories http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Ok
Well, you need to do the stories at least once to actually understand the game and history of the events. Then you can just do whatever you feel like (2player vs 2computer is very amusing).

Castor isn't all that hard to defeat as long as you can survive her wave motion attack. The top three creatures that I suggest using are Govulmer, Merlan, and of course, the formiddable Dark Belra.
With dice fever being played, shes practically asking for it...
Or was it pollux who played fever?...oh well.

well, this is the way ive always done it, because it works when you fight the amplum umbra as well. i use rufina. put in 3 heavy atks, 3 heavy slashes, 3 lock 3s (for the fight with amplum umbra. it uses resist and companion alot) ill also use low cost guard creatures like 3barble and 3 dubchich. and 1 costers for fodder like 3 rappies. itll go for the easiest kill first. for defense i use 3 weakness, 3 guards 1 resist, 2 counters. ok my startegy is i use a creature to atack first to lure out the defense(cause com always blocks the fisrt time and thats its only use of defense) then do a heavy attack or heavy slash with rufina cause of her nifty ac x2 she does 14 15 dmg. when u fight amplum umbra its good to combo the lock on 3s w the heavy attack. (put in dice fever for this it helps). well all that being said it usually takes me under 10 mins to beat castor using that method and under 15 mins to beat the germ amplum umbra. hope it helps. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

For Castor, Pollux, and even the Great Shadow himself, Weakness is your friend. The stage's Dice rules mean you can always afford to use it, and it's an absolute Godsend against Pollux's high AP Pierce attacks, Castor's multi-hit blows, and Umbra's Rampage shake-strike thing. Run 3 in your deck. *nods*

Uh... and it bothers you why, exactly? It's not like there's a great deal of discussion currently going on in this forum.

if someone doesn't post for a loooong time. such as oh, i dont know, 2 months. It usually means they have found the answer. If you want to discuss the topic more, make a new thread.

To be honest, I didn't bother checking the date of the last post. I saw that the topic was on the first page, and so I posted in it.
Back on topic: If you want to go for a drawn out battle against Castor, and let her HP loss ability seriously take its toll on her, Fix can be an intersting choice. Make sure you use a low-cost creatures and cheap Defence cards if you decide to go down this route, though.
The rules for bumping seem to be applied with some leniency in the Ep3 section. Maybe because it's used less, or because new topics are rare here. http://smilies.vidahost.com/otn/wink/wink_2.gif
Well Fallen, you sure like the Weakness card; you even used the description as a quote!
It's good indeed, when you are guaranteed a 3 or higher.
(Still, few things are more satisfying than Pollux killing itself, after you use a Penetrate Return (http://www.pso-world.com/items.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1817&version=v4&sortby=card_number).)
It never hurts to have a wide range of def cards in a deck. Use a few Card Returns (http://www.pso-world.com/items.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1369&version=v4&sortby=card_number) to help you to have the right def cards in hand.
