Which Story character are you interested in knowing more abo

Many interesting characters!

When they gradually started introducing them, I thought a few would turn out to be NPCs, but in fact 1 or 2 are in fact party members!

While some appear to have their obvious backgrounds partially explained, there are many that are still a complete mystery involving their role in the story.

As it is, it's unclear to determine the final number of possible party members, and at least 1 appears to be temporary, but it is fun to wonder how they all fit in the story and stuff. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif




also, I wonder what the party limit will be offline? Extra mode seems to hint at least 4. but maybe it'll support 6 also.
Then again, a.i. may get overcrowded following you all bunched up, so maybe they decreased the party limit for offline modes?

But they did say while you can't customize the a.i. behavior, they said you can customize their equipment/stuff (at least that's what it sounded like), and that's pretty neat!

Oh this is a great question!
So interesting to get curious and speculate! With all the available background info, the characters really have something to build on...

Hyuga:
A bit of a religious nut AND a 'ladies man'? What an odd combo this is...He's also a rival for Ethan, so maybe some ego is going to jump in. His clips however, show him to be a bit of a dork or somehow inadvertantly funny. How is he in a crunch?

Leo:
Wierd that he has a kid and a wife. Usually you don't get the 'married folks' grownups all hanging around your typical teen party. He could be quite interesting due to this unusual angle, but it's really in the air.

Tonnio:
Not high on my list because they explain him already. Reformed gang leader, still acts tough yadda yadda. The only mystery here is why is he a little shrub? They SAY beast ages slower, but he's not THAT much younger than Leo. I mean if he was 20, I could see 'growth spurt' getting him to 'normal grown up range', but he's too close in age. Something is up.

Lou:
We already know she's like the old Data from Star Trek. A bit emotionless/confused, and somewhat harsh-appearing at times. (her line of "IDC if a friend dies so w/e") Her 'secret' is the point of interest because we've seen her spiel before.

Maya:
Obviously the fanservice! Someone really pulled out the stops on the boob-generator here. From her clips she tries to use her 'hottie appeal' to get her way. She seems shallow, but is she?

Hal=Elly

Dr.Dorson:
Is he the new MOME? The thing that catches my eye on him is that he is connected to the Endrum Collective, but we also know that Renvolt tries to kill him at one point, and Renny is their version of Kireek...so why turn on Dorson?

Renvolt:
He's set himself up to be the Kireek of this story. He's got most of the elements already set up, loves fighting, is old, has bosses to 'sic 'em' on various opponents...if he has some inner conflicts or wierd desires, he could get cool.

Mirie/Izuma
These guys seem all 'sweetness and light', but are they really? Are there any alternative religions in the Graal system? Dissidents? Is the church of Graal all it is kracked up to be with their doctorines and stuff?

The other guys (NAV, Ohbel, Liina, the farm kids, and extra doctors) don't really get enough profile play to be able to tell how cool/interesting or curiosity worthy they'll be.

I guess I am most curious about...
Fullyen Kurtz.
He's on the Endrum, but you don't KNOW if he's bad or not. He's also fairly sure to play a big enough role, and reveal more personality. If he's dedicated to cast superiority, how are his religious views? What does he think about Renvolt going wrong? How is his personality in comparison with Lou? Who's side will he end up on? Is he the new Guykild (hope not blah!)

Too often, in my opinion, is the main character the young, overzealous "new guy" who ends up leading the team with his (sometimes foolish) offbeat methods of leadership by means of some form of "street smarts" or whatever. Somehow amidst this ignorance everyone can somehow find the said protagonist fit to lead... Nothing spells victory like hothead irrationality.

Even though Karen, for example, has 3 years battle experience and the others appear to be seasoned in some type of skill, everything will probably fall on Ethan and whatnot. I don't mind on the one hand - I just hope he isnt the stereotypical blockhead hero (and he very well might not be), so here's to hoping he's not mono-dimensional.

With Karen you can already tell there is some depth to her character, as she's already set up for SOME kind of inner struggle regarding her inability to use techniques and whatnot. Although she's "living her life strong", I hope this doesn't equate arrogance.

Hyuuga... I guess there's a place for a level headed smooth talking pretty boy lady's man who's rival to the main character. He might have some comical exploits.

Leo - I guess this is sort of different... however Rudo in PSII also had a family (who were killed, but). It's always nice to have someone to watch over you.

Well... Azure pretty much covered them all pretty well. The only other thing about the main characters is that although Maya is all technical and believes in technology and everything, hopefully she won't act too 'sterile', if that makes any sense.


PETE seems like a wonderful character! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif. Who doesn't love a cute little robot who has all the information on whats going on and what to do?

Tylor seems interesting - a chivalrous pirate, it seems, and Hal will probably add some style and quirkyness to the universe.

Even with such little information about each character released there seems to be a good basis, so it's really exciting to see how it'll all turn out.

For example, Karam and Remlia seem to be just a part of a farm family, however there might be more to them involving the story or at least being caught up in whatever the heroes come across.

Dr. Kanal Tomrain appears to be a powerful link to the story, or at least some side of it.

they are not even from the same race but you know that makes it all the more endearing because of how close their bond is that they look at each other as a brother instead of just a friend.
I guess that goes to show how they are a family and I would like to know more about them since they also seemed to be involved in Lumia's kidnapping.


Liina Sukaya appears to be Tylor's 2nd in command and like Tonnio she's older than she looks. She may look to Tylor as her savior, so maybe if the situation is right, she might in fact help out than

You know I think this story might have more playable characters than we might speculate because it might use the Guild Card System even the Extra mode uses. and since all models/races are bound to the Class system and weapon animations, I think the party selection limit could be endless if they wanted to. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Izuma Rutsu might be the 'Lutz' of this story. but whether he fights or stands around like a lawn ornament is still a mystery.

ya Karen's struggle to be strong despite her technique handicap, is very very interesting! I feel her character will be very deep because she seems to have a more difficult position than the other characters, which makes you feel sorry for her and hope her life improves over time.

Mirei Mikuna seems to be a great mystery. the trailer seems to hint she might have been a link to SEED's invasion.

Hyuga might be a good comedian if his dialogue and personality is written well enough. How serious he takes his rivarly with Ethan, is another story.

Will Ethan have any parents in this story? that would be nice, rarely heroes ever have their parents appear in a story. I guess they won't since they might just get in the way or something.

Leo does have Rudo-like background. but his personality and role will be thankfully more fleshed out.

Im surprised Maya can be a party member, that discovery started my theory about the unpredicatble party member limit.

Ohbel Dallgun definitely reminds me of the guy from PSII who is Rolf's boss in Central Tower.

Renvolt seems to be a villain but I don't think he's the 'real' villain, maybe.

Fullyen sounds to be the 'Wren' of this story. But his situation seems to be unique.

If I recall correctly from my translation of Lumia's profile, it mentions that her and Ethan's father was a Guardian who was killed in the line of duty. (That being a reason that Lumia worries so much over Ethan ever since he joined the Guardians.) Because of that, I'm sure flashbacks or something of the like detailing their father will play into the story. I've been wondering about their mother, however. Where is she? Is she still alive and well? I hope that's addressed in-game.

In all seriousness, though, I don't really know what to expect from the plot. I do suspect that RPG cliches will be strongly represented here... churches that figure prominently into the culture always turn out to be evil (their prayers actually draw SEED to Gurhal!), single mothers of heroic children are doomed to die tragically (and if not, I'd say Lumia's at risk), the big villain won't be (sorry, Renvolt fans), and I'll comment on every last one of my predictions with parentheticals (see?).

EDIT: Crap, I got so caught up in making a stupid response that I forgot to make a smart one that actually answered the question. I'd definitely like to see how Mirei's role in the story plays out. I once wrote a character in a fanfic named Miray (same pronunciation, I think), so the coincidence piques my interest.
