one of the things that makes PSU/PSO more fun and unique is the small parties and the lack of impersonal end game raiding. do you gusy plan to play with real life/old gaming friends or make new ones to run instances with often. for me...i have a couple friends that are going to play. i want to make new friends as well as play with old. give me plans/feedback. thanks.

I will defenetely be going on with my old PSO pals.
I am going to try to re-create my old PSO characters as well. The first time online will most assuredly be with my hunting team from back in the day. We've kept in touch, and I much look foreward to getting back into the fun with PSU!

Of course, I expect new fun too!
I'll try out a beast, and look foreward to meeting new great people on there as well. With larger team sizes, it'll be easy to invite even more friends and have a blast. It's really sad that JP won't be linked, because a lot of them were nice too, and it was fun trying to talk and meet new people, I had many a fun time with JPs in the past on PSO as well.

My plans?
First time...get on with old pals, coordinate some awesome missions to grab meseta and learn the new moves! But leave the game open so that people can come in and we might meet someone. Exchange plenty of guild cards, too!
-If no one I already know is around, I guess I'll try roaming around the ships or just jumping into teams to see what it does. Or make an open game while alone, and see who drops in. I'm not going to go berzerk and try to powerlevel right away, either. I want to pick up on all the cool stuff and explore everything.

I guess once things really get going, it'd be like PSO where you have a nice book of guild cards, and someone is nearly always on that you know. But really...no one knows what kind of structure it'll fall into.

PSO had:
People who loved Cmode, the Battle Gang, Power Lvl'ers doing TTF and HS endless times, rare hunters looking for a spacific thing (like that melqueek-loaded caves mission) and (while it was novel enough) the Forest to falz runners. Since PSU is currently without C or BA, I am figuring some missions will rise into popularity with different goal-oriented groups.
I guess my gang really mixed all of those up, and we never really got tired of it till the very end. Hopefully, like they say, PSU will KEEP providing a novel experience for everyone involved.

I'm usually a loner... because on PSO I would meet people only ONCE... EVER!!!

So I'd like... Jump into a game... and be like "Where Ya'll at?!"

and they'll say where they are.... and I'll be like...

Can you send a Telepipe?! Or I'll Run there and help out...

Then they'll like me! But I don't give them my card unless I see them 2 more times in the lobby lol Might be different this time around though...

Personally?

I'll be leveling and such with my friends from FFXI. I didn't know them when we were all on PSO GC. The fact that we are all looking forward to it and that we all share PSO DC/GC background is a plus.

I do also plan on going into random rooms/worlds and meeting people. I think meeting new friends here as well will be positive http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Everyone on PSO world should use the same server so we can all bump into each other from time to time. That would be cool.

Both! Why not? I'm meeting with quite a few peeps from PSO, some who dropped it over two years a go! So I'm looking forward to reuniting on PSU!

Good times! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm going to play with new people, Harruko, Photon Drop, maybe even Mc-Pot-, this will be my first online, looking forward to play with them! My non game friends and I will be scattered around the globe in different unis next year (mostly in England though...) so if they decide to buy psu, then yes I'll play with them too.

Anyone and everyone who's courteous and enjoyable to game with.

PSU will be huge, so I’m looking forward to playing a PS game with an abundance of players, and not having to “hunt” for people simply to play a game like I’m seeing in Blue Burst at the moment.

Just like WoW I hope to play with anybody who is willing and able but I have a feeling that amongst PSU players there will be a higher percentage of honest players. I know I will eventually eat those words LOL!

I will mostly play with new people. I will send my card to pretty much anyone I play with unless I dislike them.

For me, it will be all new people because I've never played PSO online before. I'm glad to see that there are people from this site that will be willing to play with new people and be open to new experiences. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
