of course that example was just identical Newearls with the same hairstyle, colors, ears, etc. etc. but this screenshot gives a better hint at what's possible and how a clan can look formal and cool and stuff.

um from what I'm seen. both genders can wear the same clothes but the clothes themselves adjust according to gender.

I have an Idea on how we can do clan wars without pvp. 2 clans could for example start at Ohtoku City in Neudaiz then from there they could have a race through the mizuraki preserve on a certain difficulty. First clan to get to the onsen field lobby after the boss wins.

Well,after reading the stuff above it seems people really want to join/make a clan of some sort.I created one a month or two ago for PSU called
Fox Hound,or FH.It will consist of players whose characters look like good or bad guys from the Metal Gear Solid series(for example,a Human with slightly long blonde hair called Liquid Snake,the antogonist of Metal Gear Solid 1,or Raiden,a Human that resembles one of the two playable characters in MGS2:Sons Of Liberty).

Since all you really have to do is have a character that looks like a character in
MGS,you won't have to worry about wearing specific clothing for meetings or events.The thing that will help us identify eachother will be info on the Partner Card or just the name of the character.

This will be a great experience for fans of the MGS series,but will also supply a library of almost 35 characters for play.I hope to fill in every last on of those.I will even allow members to make secondary characters that stay open for to long.

I don't care if you know one else joins,but I hope to at least have about 10 if I get any more...


P.S.Names that have already been taken are Revolver Ocelot(me),Liquid Snake,Solid Snake or Raiden(the person who will make one of these hasn't decided yet),Vulcan Raven,Sniper Wolf,Grey Fox,and Roy Campbell(me,for meetings and wide public appearences).

Not exactly,you could make a beast who looks like Vulcan Raven or a Cast with similar designs to what Lucaim has for Revolver Ocelot.Also don't forgot The Fury as a Cast or an Otacon Newman with his hair so it would diminish the visual size of his ears.All they need to do is look the character in a sense.See,I've got it all planned out:).

I agree with the linkshell idea. I DREAMED of the day clans/pvp/standings would become a reality in pso. Sadly (for me anyway) that day never came. Also, my main beef with sega is that the pvp is so obviously WANTED for this game, but like Naka said in this interview from 2001(pso), cooperation was ST's main focus, not pvp. Hey, look at FFXI-Ballista. PSU could do something similar and with teams or clans and standings. Please SONIC TEAM? PLEASE?!
I think this would make the PSO series soar to new hights of popularity that ST has not even invisioned!

A FFVII Themed clan would be crazy. I mean, not to sound stupid, but you can make characters that look like each of the ones in the game/movie. When creating a human for myself on the legal char creation website, one of them ended up looking exactly like sephiroth.
I'll make a couple of em later. Remember, though - I won't be able to make a Barret in the flash version of the character creation because you gotta alter weight and skin tone. The hair is there for him, though.

I didn't do yazoo because he wasn't really in the movie at all nor did he do anything, but he did have a cool voice.

Cloud - Sword
Barret - Any guns
Loz - Claw (one)
Tifa - Knuckle (two)
Aeris - Staff
Cid - Spear
Kataj - Saber (one)
Vincent - Handgun (well, lets make it machine gun instead, mm?) - machine gun
Rufus - Knuckle (two) (or did he have a sword on top of Shinra Tower?)
Yuffie - ooh, tricky, but we'll make it crossbow + dagger
Reno - tricky. He uses a lightning stick, but doesn't really cast magic. We'll give him a saber.

Place a handgun/saber in the remaining hands of some of the characters.

Rufus used a shotgun, therefore it would be best for your Rufus character to use Shotguns.

Reno could pass for a Force, in FF7 he used a pyramid materia spell that traps his target.

That kept doing Bolt and made Barrier ah good days old ff7. Anyhwo i think a Rifle would look better than a PS shotgun but thats just my opinion.

Lol. Big...Big... OH what was that enemy skill called. The one that casted a short p and m barrier on your party, but also hasted your whole party too. THAT was the best.

Not to mention the best healing spell in any game I've played - White wind. AHH. If the character who is casting is has 6677 hp remaining, you heal your party 6677hp! It only costed around 30 mp. Meanwhile, cure3 cost a bit more and had to have 'all' paired with it to heal the party.

I doubt I'm actually going to join a FF7 clan, but it's be pretty kickass because I really got into the darn game when playing it a few months ago on my pc. The movie rocked, too. A proper game movie in every respect possible.

Speak of the Devil(or Obelisk or any other type of demonic presence),Metal Gear Solid is getting a movie in 2008(Hideo Kojima,the creator of MGS,wants Viggo Mortenson for Solid Snake).There will probably be more hype to make or join an MGS clan when that starts to show in teaser trailers.

I think if they added battle mode or a pvp arena, having a clan would be pretty cool. But having a clan anyway would be pretty sweet anyway... Good for keeping out item nabbers and helping each other out for later down the line. I'm sure seeing a bunch of people in a uniform in one of the cities would look pretty intimidating too especially if they all had sweet gear. Once PSU comes out I'm most likely going to start a clan up.

K after the first 20 posts I stopped reading every one, but from my experience in Matrix Online factions, it was actually a really good idea to get uniforms. Different ones for males, different ones for females, but the same general color scheme. I'm not sure about PSO, but clothing in Matrix Online had buffs on them, so the uniforms were only for special events. Team meetings for example, or live events with one of the Matrix characters.

Ooh,Matrix Online player...

I guess I should be looking for recruits who I know for my clan by now.So far I'm waving between 5 members already(only one of which has signed up so far,the others don't belong to PSO-World yet.
