What Phantasy Star music will you play while playing PSU?

I will most likely get the Xbox360 version (besides the PS2 version) for this purpose than using a stereo, because it would be so cool playing while listening to classic Phantasy Star music tracks integrated with PSU's sound effects!

Like the battle theme, dungeon theme and Motavia overworld theme from PSII, the title theme, solo theme, and full party themes from PSIII, and many many tracks from PSIV like the Motavia overworld theme, boss theme, Aiedo/Kadary theme, Zio boss theme, Dark Force theme, (and I would save the ultimate track, the final boss final form theme for maybe the PSU final boss. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif and much more! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

besides I sorta have a feeling there might not be a music option to turn down the music independantly.

Well, you can play it windowed mode with the window taking up the whole screen.... that's what I do when I play WoW. It's only a tad smaller because of the title bar, but otherwise it's hardly any different from full-screen. I do have a 19" monitor though... >.>

I'm sure we'll be able to turn the music off, then I can just run my stereo or something. I'd probably have to rearange the cords. My system is like all integrated. Right now I have the pstwo hooked to vcr so I can get the big speakers, but then I can't use the CD player.

Actually I haven't tried to see if both work at the same time, but at leat I'd be able to just rehook the pstwo to TV, and music to stereo, good enough.

Actually I won't even be living here by then, I'd probably have to buy my own stereo, lol. oh well...

Well you can resize the windowed mode by clicking on the corner and dragging it (same as PSO BB) and i have a 17" TFT screen so its big enough.

I think it would be quite disrespectful to the composers to listen to other music over their compositions. well I will play online with PS2 but I think the Xbox360 version years from now will be easier to find since its available on a next-gen system so ya it may have smaller community but it might be pretty packed anyway.

I think the xbox360 audience is more mature than the old xbox audience. Ever since I started playing 360 games I have yet to run into an annoying kid that shouldnt be online. I have ran into "younglings" on 360 games before but they didnt act all annoying like the stereotypical 12 year old kid online. They were being mature and at the same time had a higher pitched voice. They didn't run around screaming "Z0mG I C4n 54y F#%&!!!111!1" however on old xbox games they are very immature.

I believe it has to be ripped from the harddrive cause in order to override the game's music you need to open the guide menu then the music section and it searches your music from your harddrive.

ya I know the music already in the game will match the game and will be good.


I just think listening to music tracks like from the classic Phantasy Star games would be hot to listen to while playing online and stuff.

At first I think I'll listen to the game music for a little bit, then I'll get a stereo that can play mp3's and just burn a disc of every autechre track I can cram into it.

Then maybe switch to Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, or Daedelus.
