Is it possible to get online for psogc without bba??
If so, is the game still playable:as in not too bad on lag, and decent game speed??

Yes, it can. And yes, the game stays more... tolerable.

You can connect to GC PSO using the 56k adapter. The lag is tolerable if you have a decent ISP.

Take a look at this page:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00007DWBK/203-3321272-2667907

If you want additional information, do a Google search for "Gamecube modem adapter."

Watch out though, I bought my modem adapter from EB Games, and it turned out to not work at all http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif. Still the only reason I don't play online.

Why not just return it, if it was faulty?

Combination of reasons, really. It was over a year old by that point, and I'm quite sure I didn't have the reciept.
