Well if you look at the minimum specs, you only need any videocard with 64MB of VRAM or more. So it will definitely work. If you mean will it run it at max? Probably not, though the rest of your system will be a factor in that (how much RAM you have, your CPU, etc.). However, if the rest of your system is on par with the 5200, then you'll probably be able to run it at a decent (not great, but decent) resolution with the settings set to average or so.

You will be able to play PSU just fine. Whether or not the quality of the graphics will be playable depends on your standards. Only a real graphics freak would really have a problem, though.

Edit: Remember, PSU is developed for the PS2. You're not playing a game with F.E.A.R. or Oblivion graphics. You don't need a cutting edge machine just for it to be playable. =P (Though I still think the graphics are beautiful.)

I plan to get a good card when the time comes. So far my choice has come to XpertVision or Hightech ATi Radeon X series, ranging from X800GTO 256MB to X1600 Pro IceQ 512MB.

But before I say anything to my uncle, I think I may have to wait until SEGA gives us a better idea on which cards are suitable.

I used that same exact card with PSU in the Beta. It handled itfairly nice, however if you had PostEffects on you would lag alot ;s.

Darth i recommend the X1000 series and up cards, they support HDR lighting.

Righ-to, I'll grab me the Hightech ATi Radeon X1600 Pro IceQ 512MB 128-bit DDR2 then. Thanks to my Uncle, he can get it AUS$40 off and he can put it in for me for nothing.

You do realize that the 9800 Pro is still the most used series of videocard on the market, yes? Sure it is not nearly as powerful as it once was, but if it can handle Need For Speed: Most Wanted with 6x Anti-Alias, 16x Anisotropic Filtering, and at 1280x1024, I have a feeling it will run PSU just fine. At worst it would be backed down to 1024x768, which is still the most used resolution on the planet as well.

I'm not saying not to upgrade if you have money and the use for the card outside of PSU but the 9700 Pro and up, and the 6200 and up, are both still great for most people. I personally like having as much turned on as possible, but I still don't mind gaming on my old P4 and 9800 Pro as the experience is still well playable.

Agreed, there is no point in upgrading the 9800Pro just for PSU lol.

More agreement, the 9800 Pro will run PSU just fine, and that's all that really matters, right? ^_~

I also used a Geforce FX 5200 during the beta. With post effects off at 800x600, it ran at medium effects with no slowdown. I was also running an AMD Athlon 1700, 512mb ram, if that helps.

If you want those crystal clear beautiful graphics, with antialising and all that jazz, you'll need something better. But its by no means necessary to upgrade.
