GOOOOSH its soooooo dam hot. ><;

I don't think I could throughoutly enjoy PSU during such scorching weather conditions. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

I think they also chose the Fall because usually the summer is when people are mainly doing things outdoors and stuff, and this reduces the general public's need to purchase interior products for the most part. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I remember lol during the NES days, I didn't have a NES but I went over a family friend's house and they had NES but their NES is put away during the summer and used often during the other seasons, especially Fall and Winter. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

but ya heat can be an insane thing. sure you could get an AC but not everyone has access to those things.

so much heat can cause you to not feel like doing anything. but then again this is PSU we're talking about. lol! we would play in a firestorm if we have to. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Hmm thats true in a sense....also it might affect gameplay with sticky keys due to humidity...and summer is a perfect time to hang out in RL...so yeah i guess it is a good thing

I see your reasoning, and I agree for the most part.

But I have a fan in my room, so when I'm playing any games, it's not scorching. :/

on the reverse side...since after Fall is school again, most people won't have enough time to throughly enjoy PSU.

May 30, 2006, 03:12 PM
Yeah, you're right. Since me, my friends, & cousins are all still hooked on PSO, we're be playing it until PSU comes out. By the way, one of my consin said that PSU is out where he live, is that true? I say its not because many people have been waiting on this game like forever.

well i am kinda glad. this way i can work more on my physical condition... not my gaming skills. i dont care about school so its all good. school can go burn in he..ck

im sick and tired of it, for the rest of this school year you could say im giving up... but watever, at least this way i can hang with my friends and yeah. but there still is psox and gc so its all good.

lol well school is never an issue, look at Japan I think they have school all year except a week or month vacation, people play games in their free time anyways.

people watch TV shows everyday even school days so many use that time to play videogames and stuff so Games still sell very well during the months that are not vacation and stuff.

but oh well I still want PSU to be released as soon as possible. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm glad it's not coming out for the summer, either. I game much more during the colder months, anyway.

I don't have any friends so I wouldn't be missing anything this summer if it came out.

I think Fall became a custom because during Fall, Kids start to think about/write letters to Santa Claus about what they want for Christmas.... Granted they couldn't buy these types of items for themselves...

So Parents may go out and buy these things kind of early... And most games do sell at Fall time because of reasons already mentioned in this thread... so Maybe it's like good luck to release games like that...

I'm from the Netherlands, we almost have as awfull weather as you guys.
Indeed the logic is flawed, as soon as the game is done they should release it for us homebound weatherterrorised gamers.
The thing is beeing in Europe normally means we get the latest release date of all :S. We're double you know what.
Next to that SEGA games in the Netherlands tend to have problems with beeing ordered properly, leading to 100 gamers at a shop with 10 copies of the game situations (shenmue flashback). Meaning I am triple sc... you know what.

I think I should try to get this game online, cause the alternative will be having to sleep in front of the store at the end of the fall to get this game. And I can tell you the weather won't be kind that season :S.

summer is the best time for games, if you are a student. i remember playing starcraft for a solid 2 months during one of my summer breaks, lol. those were the days.

Doesn't anyone have air conditioners? Then you won't be hot sitting at the PC.

In reality it comes to what it does with alot of things no matter what time something occures it's going to inconvince someone somewhere.

You guys are going insane.

You played PSO in the summer no doubt.

When the hell did game companies take weather into factor, as to releasing titles?

Pretty rediculous.

CupOfCoffee
May 30, 2006, 08:20 PM
Yeah, I can understand trying to think up reasons for why it's not so bad that you won't get to play in the summer, but "it's too hot anyway"? Seriously, that's a pretty lame excuse. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

I dunno I think this kind of opinions are coming up because people are running out of things to talk about on this subject now that the beta's over XD

It's called being optimistic. I wonder when that became a bad thing.

DraginHikari
May 31, 2006, 04:45 AM
Hehe I also prefer the saying there's too much of a good thing even optimism http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Big handheld releases are timed for the summer holidays, so parents will buy a Game Boy game or something to keep the kids quiet.

Is that a bad thing?

The game'll eventually come out. I'm not hurt by it not being out in summer since I work year round anyway, no breaks for me unless I feel like not getting paid and or fired.

It is hot though... I couldn't even sleep yesterday... And if I use the A/C I'll just wake up sick.

well the thing with me is, I pretty much slacked my way throughout my whole 4 yrs in HS barring grade 11 and 12 (12 more so then 11), but that WAS because I wasn't paying for it, now i'm going to college and since i'm basically paying my way through the course(s) I take, I have to devote more time to school more then Video games because then why am I spending 1k+ a year for?

MXdude
May 31, 2006, 06:51 PM
Wouldnt you rather have it come out now and atleast have the OPTION to play it? Its better then not being able to play in until fall.

Ask me right now and i'll say I want it this second... but ask me in a couple weeks and i'll probably be able to wait. I'll be moving to New York City for a semester to take some classes at NYU (From Florida). I won't be bringing any gaming system either.
