idealy i would like to do the story b4 going online, since the online part is suposed to take part after the offline, story line wise.

i would prefer to play offline first, getting to know all the controls, items, et cetera... but i have a feeling online is going to be way to tempting. i want to be one of the first people online!

online would just be an empty circle without the experience and knowledge of the offline story's events.

Without the offline story, you cannot fully understand the solar system, the cultures, the characters, and the struggles this solar system has been through before the online campaign.


And therefore without the offline story, you cannot even feel a part of PSU's solar system if you don't even have a clue what's been going on.

the offline story is not just a training tutorial. It's practically the introduction and foundation that everyone should complete before going online in order to get the full online experience.

the offline story would only take maybe 30-40 hours to complete, most would be able surely complete it in less than a week. and the rest of the time they can play online after that to their heart's content!!

I will do what Takao Miyoshi advised. Play offline first then online. This will be the best way to learn how to play and I might never start offline if online is addictive (which it will be).

ya I hated PSOX. it was sooo retarded how even offline play required a Live account. the most retarded requirement EVERR.

Not in graphics mind you but playing with PC people is better than voice chat.... and pc plays with ps2 and has great graphics. also you CAN voice chat with PCs

heyyy!!! PC and PS2 look exactly the same.

it's just the 'resolution' they use as an excuse. but minor jaggies are 100% not noticable while playing. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

but really, the PS2 version has ALL the colors, textures, polygons, special effects, etc. that the other versions have too!!!

I'll be too tempted to play online first. I'd most likely play a few hours offline just to hear the tuturials the NPC's have to offer. Get familiar with the new system and controls, THEN jump online without completing the offline story.

okay this game was made so that theat the offline mode isn't the same as the online like the old PSO games
