This has probably been asked before. But I noticed in one of the videos, the capturer was using a 128mb graphics card and was experiencing low framerate/lag.

Now I'm just curious, since I have a 128mb graphics card. Will I experience the same lag? Should I consider upgrading. I mean... I have a decent amount of RAM and a pretty sweet processor. But I don't think that that really matters. Does it?

well... what kind of graphics card with 128 mb... if it was a hi end geforce 4 or low end geforce 5 or ATI equivalents, then yeah, I see low FPS. but if you have some of last gens middle tier cards that had 128 mb, that would be different if those performed horribly

I have a GeForce 6600.

I meant, do you know what the person who took the video was using

A 6600 will be more than sufficient to run PSU with a decent framerate. Having 128megs of memory may mean you'll need to keep your resolution down to keep a good FPS, but otherwise the 6600 is quite adequate.

Wasn't the framerate also due to the recording program they were using? I'm not sure that they're actual gameplay was that choppy, rather it just seemed that way in the videos.

Aye, that's true... you can't judge the framrate the game was running at by the video, since the capture program runs at a set FPS, usually low (to keep the file size low), and the capture program can stutter and make it look like the game is, even though it's really not.

My opinion is that your graphic card will be just fine, as long as you're night trying to run it in 1600x1200 with 5000x antialiasing and 7500x anisotropic filtering.

I just hope my geforce 7900 can handle it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif
