I have a 360 pad for pc but i dont have the headset, i need confirmation off someone if the Mic that plugs into the pad can be used on the pc. Can anyone test this for me? That is if you have the technology.

The X360 headset differs from the XBOX 180 version. This one actually has a peice on the end that makes it useable only on X360 controllers.

I know, I need someone with a 360 pad (Which are usb) and 360 headset(plugs into joypad), to test it on their PC to see fi the headset works.

No, it doesnt work. The end on the mic that Phunk was speaking of, makes it impossible to put the 360 mic in the PC. Therefore, it will not work

You also cannot use it to speak even if the controller is pluged into the PC with the mic connected.

why in the world would they release a new Windows version?

sounds like a new world of problems for PC owners.

Many people could've said the same for Windows XP. "Why in the world do we need something new after Win2000?" Yet, the majority of the people have switched over to XP. Besides the fact that the interface is a bit nicer (if you turn off the god-awful wanna-be Aqua default junk), there are also many improvements to the code that you can't really see.

Windows Vista is going to be more powerful and a fair clip quicker than XP is. Of course, it'll likely be buggy and full of security holes at first, but that's pretty well impossible to avoid when doing something as major as building a new OS. Also, with what little experience I've had with Vista, the interface is much slicker (and I very much prefer the new black theme).

Also, you really can't expect a corporation to make a product and then say "okay, we're done." If they want to keep their market share, and build on it, they need to be constantly refining and innovating. Stagnation isn't the way to make money.
