It feels like PSU is right around the corner, and I've just about made up my mind on importing. Even if I decide to play the US release, it'll still be fun to play in the meantime. The only real obstacle right now is how to pay the monthly fee. If anyone knows of any methods or have suggestions on how to go about paying, I'd greatly appreciate it.

At the present time, your best best is to find a Japanese friend and have someone buy some Netcash cards for you. You can use those to pay for some online time. I don't think SegaLink will accept foreign credit cards.

For the PS2 verison yes unless you have a mod chip or something like that... PC all you usually have to do is install the language settings from what I know not fully sure on that

Yeah this segalink think is causing me some hassle.

I'm worried I may just end up picking up the import mainly for the offline then buying the EU version for its online capability.

Why oh why did they choose to have split servers http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Don't supose anyone on these forums hasa ready supply of netcash cards do they? >_> ?

I'll be playing offline since I wanted to beat story mode before going online. As for Segalink, I'm still planning to 'try' using my credit card to buy something like panzer dragoon >_> it'll probably won't work but whatever >.> Anyways I'm not gonna suffer if I can't go online, I'll just either try to find someone to provide me netcash or just wait. I'll be importing a Sega Direct version for PS2 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif and a PC version. My sis will play the PS2 version and I'll play the PC version.

google it my friend.

You'll find lots of sites for them.
Heh I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who may end up importing to play through story mode and get full grips before the US -EU release.

Freeloaders don't work on Ps2's, infact they don't exsist.

You need a disk called a swap magic, works in the same way as a freeloader, but you need to mod your Ps2 to use it.

Searcht the term, "swap magic" and "Ps2 flip top"
Thats probably the easiest way to play imports.
