Single and Multi. Online and off, in Normal, Hard Very Hard Ult.

lv doesn't matter in sinfle but in multi it does

normal-lv1
hard-lv20
vhard-lv40
ult-lv80

kay so if I can play Ult. in single and so can my friend we can't play together in multi.?

You'd both have to be lv.80 to play Ultimate Multiplayer, even if both of you have gotten to Ult. in single player.

Not unless you are both at least level 80. Its stupid, I know, but multi mode has higher stats and you probably wouldnt survive easily wihout being at least level 80.

True the reason is that not only are the monsters stronger but their challenge rating is further increased by the total Lv.s Acumulated amoung all charicters.

The above link is to a page with suggested Char levels for each difficulty and area. It doesn't say whether it's for online or offline, however.
