The 'My Character' Thread (Possible 56k Warning!)

Yeah, I know a lot of them are posted in the "Try out Character Creation" thread, but there's a lot of other stuff going on there, too, and I've noticed people plugging their characters in other threads, so I figure people seem to like it so much there might as well be a specific thread for it.

Anyways, feel free to post pics here of character concepts you have, and if you know, go ahead and post the character's name and class. If you want to post anything else, like what weapons they'll specialize in, any RPing info you have on them, (background story, etc.) any history to the character in general, (reincarnations of PSO characters, a character you use in all online games, etc.) or any other random info about them you feel so inclined to post. Also feel free to comment on or otherwise give feedback to other people on their characters, just try to keep it nice... XD

I don't have a name for this guy, yet, but I'm thinking maybe Kiel. However, I do know he's gonna be my primary character and a Ranger. I'm aiming for the "gettin' on in years but still hardcore enough to rock you whipper snappers" type deal. Y'know, like Solid Snake or somethin? XD (Not that he's based off of Snake at all, because he's not...) At first he looked pretty mean, and I wanted more of a "fatherly mentor" kinda' look, and I think he seems like a pretty friendly guy, but who knows? I also fiddled with the proportions a bit because I wanted him to be a little bit more unique, in terms of he's not the default size, and he's not muscley, but somewhere in-between, but I don't think you can really tell. He looks kinda' like the average size in this shot.

As soon as the peeps that update that freestyle version of Character Creation get the Cast section fixed, I will be able to post all 3 of my characters here, but for now I can only write a small description of them.

Mwabwetumba, I hope they get that running soon, I'd like to see your Android army... XD Avion, I like the HUcast. The red/black scheme looks cool. Too bad there's not some way to cover up that portion between his shoulders and neck, though, the clashing of the colors there is a bit funky. Anyways, bet he'll be awesome with some claws!

Once again, I'm not sure on a name yet, but she's definitely going to be a Hunter. She's also gonna be a bit crazy and a ROBOT SPACE PIRATE. XD Since she's a pirate, she'll probably primarily use a saber/handgun combo. But, yeah, I gave her that one voice with the high kinda' evil/crazy laughter but made it as low as possible without her sounding rediculous or like a man. I liked the result.

This is Dan, he's gonna be a Hunter who lives by the samurai code known as bushido. He's gonna specialize in sabers(preferably katanas if available), dual sabers, and knuckles. He's normally gonna be a quiet person who wants to be a Hunter mainly to sharpen his skill as a swordsman. He refuses to use guns as his skills with one are extremely atrocious and afraid that he might accidentially shoot his friends.

heres some back story....

Cicatriz ESP attempted to give his girlfriend a home abortion but it went horribly wrong. Somehow the umbillical cord wrapped around Cicatriz ESP's neck choking him out unconcious. When he awoke both his new born son and girlfriend were missing. Fifteen years pass and you find Cicatriz ESP starring in his first online role in psu. He steps foot into the colonial dome only to be greeted by his ex girlfriend. She seems to be on her last breath as she murmers out something he cannot completly understand, "y.....ur...son...eeeeuuuh..." while she says this she is collapsing at his feet grabbing his pants. Cicatriz ESP kicks her in the face and asks what about my son!!??? Alas he kicked too hard and knocked her head clean off!!! WTF....inside her neck were crackling wires, gears, and what seemed to be a sputtering cpu fan...Cicatriz ESP scratches his head wondering how he got a robot pregnant. Then he remembered o yeah!!! The prosthetic utureus was invented in 3056 duh! as his ex fling sputters and crackles on the ground Cicatriz ESP vows to find his son....

This fella' is going to have green hair and brown eyes. I haven't figured out his name yet, but he's going to be a Force and a cranky one at that.

Basically, people are going to assume that he hates everybody and wants them to die. However, they'll be mistaken. It's just that he hates everybody and if he happens to cast an extremely destructive spell and they get caught in the blast, hey, not his fault. He also relishes in the simple things in life, like destruction and blowing things up. He has a serious superiority complex and delusions of one day enslaving the entire universe. In fact, he probably WOULD have taken over the world by now, if it wasn't for this annoying "conscience" thing that pops up every now and then.

Space Grape is trying to force Space Peanut to follow a healthy diet, thus destroying Peanut's ability to talk to the spirits in his ass. Fruits and Vegetables are Space Grape's strong points, where Pizza, Chips, and Meat are his weaknesses. Space Grape's arch nemesis is an Antelope that goes by the name "Greg".

Space Grape also can transform into water (like Alex Mac) and can seep through doors. He works for a mob leader named "Tony Pajamas" and drives a large apple around the galaxy. His attacks his victim's with your momma jokes.

This may be my main character, but I'm leaning towards Tenacious D. I have a feeling Beast's low ATA will screw them over once they get to higher difficultys. Remember how high evasiveness was for like every enemy in ultimate? That is the exact reason I am leaning towards my android. That and he looks cooler >_> His name will be Enix.

This was my first draft for my other android....I'm just making this into my ranger and using my other one as my main hunter. He looks cool, but it's not the type of character I usually play as in this type of game. Either way, I am making him. His name will be RoboJesus X. I will have a force as my last character, probably human, but still undecided...

We can't tell you where we got the beta character creators. Anywho, PERSONALLY, I'm not all heads over heels about the human/newman/beast male clothes except for one set of jackets which are really nice (which can be bought at a store). I like the way casts look so far... well, at least my cast. I'm not crazy about robot casts - human casts are much cooler in my view.

My main, Jifremok, is a Human Ranger attempted bishounen (based on me but with blue hair) amnesiac, since amnesia is the number one RPG Cliche that makes me feel free to just run around and kill things. (Also makes for better immersion since I don't have to pretend some damn NPC or imaginary friend is connected to me)

He claims to be from "a Shadow Tower in an Abyss". He fell into a hole, went unconscious and suffered amnesia. Soon after waking up, a statue fell on his head, made him unconscious again and ruined any chance of remembering what happened before the fall. After waking up again somehow, he adventured his way through to the top(?), learning mix-wield and Ranger skills along the way. After reaching the top(?), he somehow wound up somewhere in Gurhal, somehow wearing Gurhal clothes. For all we know, he's probably just a crazy amnesiac, but his mix-wield skills and lack of a family or past connections suggest otherwise. Thankfully, his backstory is of no relevance to the safety of the system, and he will fight simply because he likes his new home. If adventuring with a ragtag group of heroes with secret painful pasts and connections to the creation or destruction of the world, he will still have a totally undeveloped backstory. In the grand scheme of things, he's just some guy who happens to kick as much ass as all the important characters.

(In truth, this is a character who came from obscure import-only first-person adventure game Shadow Tower Abyss. Any importers ever play this one?)

My alt character (name unknown) will be a very robotic Cast hunter or ranger (and the only reason I want a Cast is the SUV Weapons!). Not really a Cast though, he's actually a remote unit controlled manually by my main (and he has no freaking clue how he found it). It's used to scout out terrain that could be dangerous for my main, but may not be in use often if I feel like just barreling through everything with my main with no regard to the badass SUV weapons.

I wish they'd fix the Casts one. I'd like to try it. I've come up with a pretty good female human char (for my main). Came out close to what I wanted. Beast on the other hand, is going to take some work to get it just right. Also, I noticed you can't do proportions or change eye/hair color or certain other adjustments. It's OK tho. I just imagined what I'd do. Any word when we might get to try Casts in the demo?

guess you're right, but I am gonna wear that red vest for my HUmar until I see a long robe option. until then, the vest looks pretty neat. and the zig zag pants are also pretty cool looking.

There was actually three diferent sets of shirts and pants for male fleshies in the beta, and you can also remove parts of your clothing so you can mix and match with your undergarments (For example - Seiryoku is seen wearing his under-vest along with black and grey shorts, in brightstars team videos.)

So yeah, there's alittle more room for customisation even from the start. And i would be rather dissapointed if they didn't add more starting options for clothes aswell as cast parts in the finalised version.

A few people have been saying that RAcaseal fans will be pleased with the character creation... well I wasn't. Why is there not a color slider on the main body color? The colors they give us make the casts look like new cars... you know, the kind with really bland, bright, basic colors. In PSO there was at least variation... and with Blue Burst too. AND they're missing my favorite helmet!! It looked like a hammerhead sort of thing. Anyway.. ahem... maybe I'll post my creations later.

One's Storyline is he is a beast who cant control his power, luckily a FO named Mithos was able to contain the beast in him. they Together with the Cast Grave roam the landsand are trying to find a way to live a normal life but are always troubled by enemies who know him as The Devils Arm because he has a powerful left arm.

Um... a hacked verison of a beta that isn't operational now for access to a character creator for a game that's not even out? So what? That's not even damaging in any form. I've always play the game legit. I never duped, hacked, use ultilties, etc. But this is so irrevelent to even be considered cheating. It's just a character creator nothing more. Illegal huh? No more illegal then people posting stuff that broke the NDA during the beta itself. Corrupt? As I said it's so undamaging it's hardly worth pointing out. inhuman? That's just a little bit on the harsh side... do we really need to be throwing labels on people before the games even out?
And as far as the pictures go:

Both break the NDA in the first place. All the flash is doing is delivering a lesser version of the character create to people who cannot access the original version now.

I believe the main reason as to why the cracked beta char create is so downlooked upon on this site is who made it and where it came from.

Nah there no reason simplely that it's against the rules. OTher then Saner I haven't noticed any real opposition towards it other then locked or deleted posted due to it's download or asking for it which is as I said against the forum rules/

This is Fuyuta, my cast Huntress. I can't decide between the more human looking head with hair, or the more robotic style head. Any advice? >< Fuyuta is a compound of the Japanese words fuyu, meaning "winter," and uta, meaning "song." So the name literally means "Song of Winter" (or "Winter's Song," however you prefer to format it).

Zeota was a well-respected 200th level newman hunter on Pioneer 2. Soon after, she became involved in several relationships with a rotating cast of sycophants that wanted only to advance themselves. The last straw was with a human ranger that cheated on her three other women and bought them lavish gifts at Zeota's expense. Once she learned of this, Zeota was devastated. Soon, the sadness gave way to unbridled rage. She then gathered her former boy-toy and the three other women, locked them in a room, and single-handedly killed them, and sent their bodies out to space with the rest of the garbage. Because of her power and connections, she had any and all record of their existence erased from the Pioneer databases.

Soon after, Zeota realized that since newmans did not live as long as humans, she did not want to waste anymore time on Pioneer, and decided to travel the cosmos in her final years. The final stop on her travels was the Guhral solar system and the guardians colony. Soon after, the SEED invasion began, and the ship carrying Zeota was attacked. She managed to escape to the colony, albeit badly injured. She would die soon after rescued.

Soon after, she had awakened to find out that she was in a different body. The scientists there told her that after her death, they learned who she was after extracting data from the escape pod, which contained information about the ship and its passengers. Before her body could deteriorate any forther, they preserved her brain, and then wired it into the body of a cast.

After a bit of resistance, she has accepted her destiny to do battle yet again.

No offense, but alot of the male characters look 100% gay. I don't know why they made the appearance of the male more Eastern than open, but it looks very gay in my opinion. I don't see why Japanese game makers lean more in the direction of making these effeminate male characters (Final Fantasy 12 anyone, and now PSU).

I have thought a lot about how I want my characters to look and what their backstory is like. I got no pix but here's the descriptions:

Spectre- Male Cast/Hunter. Not very bulky, red and white armor. Gundam-esque head. He belonged to a secret orginization called SPECTRUM (Special Cast Tactical Roaming Underground Militia) that was an extremist Cast orginization. He left the group and has been laying low ever since. He is sympathetic and enjoys nature. His 'My Room' will look like a greenhouse garden.

!ris- Female Cast/Ranger. Feminine/curvy body with semi-robotic type features. Her armor will be some combination of pink, purple, and/or green. Her memory was erased by some freak EMP and all she remembers is trying to save a human boy. She is searching for this boy and viciously battles the seed, whose arrival most likely shorted out her memory. She goes to Spectre and he notices she is a very outdated cast. It turns out that the SEED didn't wipe her memory, it awakened her from a cyber-coma that has lasted since the time of the planetary wars over a hundred years ago. She struggles with this revelation until her friends tell her that her place on this world is beside them, battling the SEED just as she has been. With renewed vigor, she returns to the battlefield.

Lycan- Male Beast/Transcaster, Hunter. An older-looking beast with the the bumpy slicked back/cornrow inspired hair and some facial hair. Very dark tan/brown skin, mostly wearing yellow and black clothing. Lycan was an informant for SPECTRUM and became friends with Spectre. He was a blackmarket dealer and wants to get out of the crime business and make an honest living. He is now trying to pay off debts and make a new life as a guardian.

Cerulean- Female Newman/Force. Cerulean is a very nice shade of blue, so of course all of her clothes/eyes/hair will be shades of blue with perhaps some gray or white to mix it up a little. She is extremely sympathetic towards others and even a bit naive. To this end, she even wants to make peace with the SEED, but once she realizes this won't happen, she battles for future peace. Even still, she is mostly support and healing since this type of magic is in her nature.

Yeah I work at a very boring retail store so all I do is think up these backstories. Hope you enjoyed.

S rank items are usually 7 or 8 star items or better. weapons are catagorized by type C being the lowest then B, A, and S.

Rare items are all S ranks i think. Here is one i found in story mode, It is much better then any of the other weaps i had.

That's a great explanation and all, Ayrista, but he was asking about the S-RANK items you get after completeing the mission...you know, the ones you decorate your room with, XD....Dragon Head, a ship, etc etc.

Yeah I wasn't asking about the ranking of the actual weapons, I was talking about the useless items that people are standing in front of like the spaceships, etc. I see people post them and sound like they are something impressive but to me they look utterly useless.

They don't have a use as far as I know. They just look cool and are a symbol of accomplishment.

Hmm, completel waste in my opinion. I can think of far more useful and cool things they could have implemented in place of useless items. Now if they somehow have a use later on in terms of making rares then I am all for it, but if they are only for decoration then that's horrible.

Is there a way to make more clothing options appear when you're creating your character because I can't select those options when I'm doing my Newman Female?

They come from a different thread. Look up a bit and yo ushould see it, something about clothing you havent seen before. THose aren't the people just the costumes they want.

I might make an angel character myself, but in terms of making themes for your characters, it's too early into the game, and there's not enough info from the JP version for us to truly determine whether or not it's possible to even have a theme for your character.
