just wondering hee hee! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

it's just good that this game offers such magnificent proportial adjusting options. and not just weight but also height and stuff. ya PSO always had this but PSU goes even further, especially with great face options and stuff. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

So ya what are your plans regarding this topic? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I'm making my main HUmar and my two female characters in their default height. If I have a HUbeast, I'll probably make him taller.

I'll probably go with my own height which is about 6'2" for my hunter.

I can hold no respect for my characters unless they are at their max lenght, therefore Tall Adult!
(I can respect other peoples shorties, just not my own)

I personally think people who make "small" characters and try to act tough are silly. If you're going to be small, you better be funny. I'll be laughing at you either way. I have no respect for shorties in games.

I'm going for inbetween default height and tall, probably.

Medium/Default for me. I'm medium height so I am biased towards medium height characters. Tall characters look and feel strange to me and I don't believe in making Child characters or dwarven people.

Although when I remake my FOnewm, Lil' Eugene, I'm making him the dwarf he once was, and maybe even shorters, seeing as they've done away with those sexy platform shoes... D':

For my Secondary character, Kano, I'll make him back into the tall FOmarish build. I just hope they have the man-dresses back, >_<;

Jun 29, 2006, 01:17 PM
my characters heights will vary. in reall life terms of height i would like it to idealy go like this...
female newman (age 19) around 5'8"-5'10"
male human (age 20) around the 6' area
cast (age not a factor) if female around 6', if male at max hight
beast (N/A) unknown as of now

Eh...Default or taller for me...I'm leanining more towards tall.

OdinTyler

I rarely make child-like chars. I tend to play as adults because I AM an adult. My main is a Female Human & she should be about average height for a Human, maybe a bit taller. My Male Beast will be short (being a Motavian), but, that's OK. Nanoblast & he will tower over all non-Beasts. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

spoilers

actually Obi Wan was shorter than Darth Vader and he royally kicked his butt. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

then years later he let Darth Vader finish him but he really didn't lose because it was what he wanted. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

UltimateCarl
Jun 29, 2006, 02:36 PM
My main is a Beast, but he's shorter than the Beast default by a bit. So, I 'spose he's still taller than the overall average, but shorter than the Beast average... So just a smidge bigger than the absolute middle.

As far as other characters, who knows...

Saner
Jun 29, 2006, 03:19 PM
you know I been reading around and I think I'll borrow people's ideas of making a child version and adult version of the same person for this game!

and like use the child version to practice with and maybe level up to 10 or something and then switch over to the adult version and transfer whatever money/items the child version earned. ya the adult version would be at level 1 but I think it's a pretty interesting way to start out. people make multiple characters anyways plus the bank feature means you really arent starting entirely from scratch switching to a new one. lol

Just because a character is short doesn't mean that there "suppose to be funny" or that they should be riduculed.

Many people decide their characters height based off theirs so if for example a midget models a character off of him/herself then you automatically hold no respect for them? Thats dumb but your free to respect whatever you wanna respect. But its still rude to laugh(mock) a character based off their height alone.

My main is gonna be a female cast, she's gonna be a short adult... my (maybe second main.) female beast is gonna be taller than her, and I'm making 2 children, one female one male...Possibly both male, just to even it out. .-.

I have to hand it to you, Saner, this is a poll topic that I haven't seen before.

As for me, my main character has always been a short adult type. It's easier to look cute that way. However, I won't be putting the slider all the way to the left this time around; probably somewhere near a quarter of the max height. He isn't a child, after all... just short.

And remember... before you insult a short person, consider that they hit low by default.

I don't take much offense from a child(your maturity shows through your post) but I am short (5ft 4) and I don't have any problems with my height and those shorter or taller than me.(I'm very proud of it)

But
I do have problems with people that mock people based off appearances they cannot change whether their short, tall, black, white or mentally ill. Either way its rude, childish, and uncalled for.

Hmm... Katt Resstar was on the short end of the height spectrum in the previous games 'cause, well... it seemed to be the fad; I hardly saw any tall toons so I bumped her height down a bit too. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Strange since I have the inert urge to always keep my characters on the tall side, if not max height, only recently have I made smaller characters - all of them alts as if to accompany my main, 'little and large' heh.

Katt Crimson is to be a direct reflection of the femme beastie sported in my sig' and looking from lifted statistics from her profile she's quite on the short side (5'1" or 154cm), note that she is also 15 years old. However, I want to imagine her as if she were around my age so like in the early 20s or just coming out of her teens. I could actually use myself as a good template for her height since I was just a tiny bit taller than her around her age but then... I haven't measured myself recently and I'm told that I've experienced a late growth spurt. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Alia I-Type - my cast - however... my rangers have always been tall so, to the ceiling so be it!

Child Sized with an adult mind. Then a taller version when I get around to it. It all depends on my mood at the time I create the character, since whatever I choose has to be something that I want in the end. It's alot funnier when there's a little one wrecking shop though.

My 2 beasts (1 online, 1 extra) will be only a little taller (But for story reasons, way older http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif)

Dude, you don't have to get offended with his post just because it makes sense to. His post was harmless and his own opinion. He's not saying he doesn't respect small people who play as small characters in PSU, he's just saying that, most of the time, it's people that want to be a kid because they look funny and cool when playing or whatnot.

Also, he's not makign a big deal about how he hate small people, hes jsut saying he has no respect to them (and, as I assume, in very loose terms). You don't have to take it so seriously or take it as a prejudice comment. I, for one, think it's kinda silly to choose a child character if you aren't a child, but that's just my preference. I could understand how it'd be funy to play as a small guy with a huge sword. It's just not my personal preference.
