I'd love to be able to dual boot Linux and OSX on my laptop instead of Windows and Linux. I'm definitely going to have to look into this.

I wonder how well it runs though. Apple designs their computers and OSes together as a package. They get to optimize everything. Installing OSX onto just any x86 PC may not run too well.

Anyone out there know if what I said has any truth to it?

So, this blog mentions installing with a pre-patched 10.4.6 CD, and then downloading the 10.4.7 update from a non-apple site which the blogger can't link to. Sounds a little iffy to me. What is the 10.4.6 CD patched with? And if developers are allowed to do this, why can't one download the 10.4.7 update from ADC?

Threpiio, you do make the choice. Microsoft never forced you to enable Automatic Updates and they never forced you to install the patches. If you didn't want Automatic Updates to hapen, all you had to do was change the settings.

This case has little to no merit. It's more trial lawyers clogging up the legal system to try and score big again because they think they're on a run. You make the agreement in the EULA that when you accept Microsoft's support you accept adding and/or modifying of the code. I'm not 100% sure on that, but I bet it's in there. Don't like it, don't use their product. Tried Linux?
