I know this question has probably been asked countless times, but here it is...

From what i've heard the PS2 and PC servers are gonna be linked. Is this true?

My friends and I are already planning on what versions we're getting and I need to know if this is how its gonna be.

Thanks

The only system not linked together is the 360, they have a seperate server.
So theres two servers:
1: PS2 + PC
2: XBOX 360

Its still not confirmed about the xbox360 having separate servers, but it is a distinct possibility

Personally I would see having everyone on the same server as the best business. Mainly, you get the largest possible community, and thats pretty much a MMO in a nutshell really. Community. Were just going to have to wait and see.

I'd rather keep the console kiddies together, especially if the game pauses while waiting for them to join my games with their inferior loading times.

I thought it was clear that I was pointing out a problem that I have with the idea cross-platform online play and how to me it wouldn't be the best, rather than stating how it was going to be, but I guess not, and for that I apologize.

Heaven forbid you'd have to wait a couple more seconds than normally, ya know?
Doesn't PSU stream info anyway?
I'm sure ST has done all that they can to lower the load times.

Those loading remarks are misguided and false.

PS2's load times won't be so different from the PC version.

I've never had a problem with online performance between my PC, PS2 and X360 on FFXI so I doubt there will be much of a difference.

If you've got any evidence to back that claim up, it would take a load off my mind.
