I should have it done on Thursday, but this is what I've cleaned up so far. Yay for rubber stamp.

Wow, you did a good job getting rid of some of those creases (seeing as my only editing technique is cut, paste and PSP Effects).

Whats this picture for anyway?

Seamless, man. It takes skill to do that even with Photoshop's tools.

Indeed, that is an amazing job. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif Where is that picture from?

Thank you.

The retouching is a project for my computer arts class, and the picture is of my great grandfather.

Here goes the finished picture. Next project is to colorize it.

That is quite an amazing difference from the original. Can't wait to see the colorized version. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

That's crazy. I can't see any mistakes in it at all...

How long did it take?

How did you learn to use photoshop... class, book or just self-taught trial and error?

Uhm, I've been at it for a while on my own. Not until this semester have I taken classes aimed at it directly. Everyone in the class works on their own and goes through tutorial quicktime movies at this site (http://www.vtc.com/productdetail.lasso?sku=33329). They have a lot of the basic ones for free, but still worth the time to check out, because they're movies and you can see first hand where everything is and not get lost so easily.

I never use it, but the book required for the class is Photoshop 7 for Windows and Macintosh: Visual QuickStart Guide (http://www.peachpit.com/books/product.asp?st=FDA3F69E-3F97-478E-B1B2-4C9FC8041841&session_id={2764AD2D-DA13-415B-85CA-2DFE1F907E86}&product_id={BE4C75CD-4D60-4FDE-B44D-85C1DE7CA82D}). It's an inexpensive book and very straight forward--most Peachpit Press guides are.

Wow! Nice job!

I wish I had those skills...seeing as how my area of expertise lies in Paint

^_^..... :

The only thing I'm good at in regards to computers is:

A)understanding them
B)Programming with them

Though, I do have a copy of 3D Studio Max 3 (Please dont ask how I got it...) and I've made an untextured mess of a ball bouncing up some pillars ^_^
