I wanted to ask a PC Beta-Tester with Dial-Up about how bad the lag was when playing online.I really need to know because I am trying to run a team on PSU
(Fox Hound).

By the time they finished downloading the client, the beta was over. I'm sorry http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I tried the game on a dial-up connection and found the lag for the Japanese servers to be pretty bad. Monsters lived long past when they should have died (damage registration is done by the server now), teammates would jump around like crazy, and I would always be the last person to see items appear. Needless to say, the game-playing experience was much better on a broadband connection.

The latency may improve for dialup users once the US game comes out, but I would definitely recommend using broadband for this game.

I think it's the combo of it being location and the server limit during betas that makes the latency worse.

I don't know why, but I've just got a feeling it will still be enjoyable by someone with a good dialup connection once it's released and goes p2p...
