I tried making a few characters with the PSU beta, just to see how flexible the character creation was. It's very good on the faces, but the lack of hair styles and starting clothes make things pretty hard

Heres the ones that turned out good (note they're fairly obscure characters)

hmmm... tribute characters. I actually might consider bringing back my Agent Smith leage that hunted down characters named Neo in PSO 1&2, along with 3

No. I absolutely DESPISE when people have the SAME EXACT CHARACTER only one is named

Goku and the other is GoKu.

It gets REALLLLLY INCREDIBLY OLD, REALLY FAST.

EDIT: Unless they are like characters shown above and I have no idea who they are supposed to be. Then, I don't care.

I want mine to resemble Zio, which means he'll really look like Trent Reznor. I'd do Rolf but I'm sure they'll be plenty of those.

I would try to make myself, but... Do they have curly hair for guys? Other than that, though, I'd probably make tribute characters that only my best friend would get. Why? Really, though, I am not making any naruto characters because I have many better characters taking thier places and there will already be tons of people doing it. If I were to makle one, It'd be shikamaru. But RoboJesus X, Tenacious D, and my 2 old PSO characters recreated will be much more important. And much more original....

Although I will admit that one of the hairs is 100% perfect for a sasuke character.

heh, yeah, you're right. they brought it over to the gamecube too with a few extra features and called it "Skies of Arcadia: Legends". But yeah, i was in love with it on dreamcast, it's still to this day my favorite game of all time. i pretty much bought a gamecube just for it.

i did these with the character creation demo thing, i wish i had the real one to change hair and skin tones and what not.

classic PS, here is my ratings of how tough it would be to recreate certain characters:

Alis: tough
Odin: tough
Myau: impossible
Noah: tough

Rolf: semi-possible (a version without armor)
Nei: possible
Rudo: semi-possible (a version without armor)
Amy: possible
Hugh: possible
Anna: semi-possible (minus armor)
Kain: possible
Shir: possible

PSIII's characters are dressed very differently in style compared to PSU and the other Phantasy Star games (much like PS1)
so I think only Mieu,Wren and Siren are possible to recreate.

Chaz- semi-possible (without armor or headband)
Alys- possible
Rune- tough
Hahn- possible
Gryz- impossible
Rika- possible
Wren- possible
Demi- possible
Raja- impossible
Kyra- tough
Seth- possible
Zio- very tough

Hey Saner, I'm going to try out all of those in your list that are even remotely possible, once I get PSU. It's too bad the human PS3 characters are impossible; I think it would kick ass to be Lyle or Ryan.

Well perhaps then it may be better described as a hybrid versus "Neither/nor". I really like how you put that though, Saner. And yeah, it would be fun to make the PSIII characters... the closest one you could get is Mieu, or Wren/Siren, as you said. I like your rating list of the "possibilties of recreation" too. The only thing that annoys me is that we don't have any leotard-type things to work with for the Numans *huffs* - hopefully they will have special clothing for this.

And David Hasselhoff... lol.. oh man XD.

I saw in another thread how some people were speculating about unlockable clothing and such, or maybe clothing/features that are from past PS characters, which would be sweet if it was included.

After seeing SirenV's portrait, I was reminded that I'm seriously considering having a Nei tribute character. I know there will probably be a bunch, but Nei has always been my fav PS character.

Well uh actually... when I got near to maxing out my main and alt' I actually did this, so nyah! Good thing I didn't take him online though. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Hm... well, as you can see my main's already a tribute character and Alia - my cast - she'll be loosely based on a number of things so I don't think anyone would see any resemblances. I also made a 'caseal in the past called Azel - from Panzer Dragoon Saga - and I tinkered with a few anime characters too - some casts based on Guymelefs in Escaflowne mainly.

As for now, actually, that recent post with some video clip links in it... the first video gave me the urge to recreate Junon - from a game called Dragon Force on the Saturn - in PSU. I've modeled some characters based on her before - but in high fantasy settings - but I don't know how much it'll work out in the PSU setting.
