View Full Version : Pirates 2 + Transformers Trailer = Bliss

So I went to the midnight showing of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest yesterday, or, today, whatever the technicality is on that. The movie it's self was good, but towards the end it was a huge teaser!!!!

Also got to see the Transformers trailer, also a big teaser, but better than staring at a website with a big eye lookin back at you.

Pirates 2 totally kicked ass!

The whole movie was a bit darker than the first one, and there was even some blood and gore (the raven eating the dude's eyeball at the beginning was priceless), which you didn't see much of in the first movie.

That was the least of it. The plot was well-written and the character development quite believable. I personally loved the fact they made those two pirates (the one with the wooden eye and his friend) main characters, and bringing back Norrington and Barbossa was just plain sweet. Johnny Depp was a superb actor as always, and I personally thought the movie was almost as great, if not as great as the first one.

My favorite moment was when the Kraken opened its maw and roared at Jack Sparrow, spraying his body and face with Squid goo. I turned to the guy next to me and said, "so that's what squid cum looks like..." and then he said, "yeah, talk about your facial!" It was quite amusing.
