i just want to ask that if something is the first to do something and others copy, it she first thing concidered a cliche. for example: the first ever story of hostile aliens invading earth, would that be considered a cliche now? even though it pionered the idea.

Actually the people who do something first are usually the first ones to jump ship and start throwing around the word cliche while trying to be cool again.
