If there's a thread about this already, mods can close it as they wish. I haven't been able to look at every threads and posts lately.

If you're seriously thinking of making a Force in Ep 1 & 2, then forget about using any melee after hard mode. My sister's Lv. 40 FOmar is doing absolutely horrible with any weapon in offline Hard. Her friend, who also imported and has a Lv. 90 FOmarl, said the same thing. Good news is that your techs actually do excellent damage--as her friend said: basic techs can deal as much as 700+ dmg at high levels, in Ultimate mode.

If you still wanna have some melee power with good techs, then make a Hunny instead.

I do not know if other importers feels the same way as I do, so if you think different about this, feel free to post.

[EDITED] Correction: It's after hard mode, not after normal. Sorry for misinformation.

I don't really pick Forces to use cool weapons, so I think this is great news their magic is stronger.

As of now I have no plans on making a force, but the awsomely increased magic power sounds jawsome.

Well in ver1&2 it was 75% melee, 25% techs for the general FO. From what I've heard in GC PSO techs are actually good. I think for the melee based FOs melee will stay at a minimum intill high level gameplay. When your melee stats are high, melee will begin to be a viable option, but early on techs seem to be best.

So it might not be best to dismiss melee FOs right off the bat. Since tech are actually good I can guess that a melee FO would use techs to soften up the enemy, and finish them off with a combo.

I like the idea behind Forces almost better then the Hunters style. Blasting an entire room full of critters to dust is real neato. I guess that's why I like the HUmar over the HUcast. Sure, a HUmar's ATP isn't as high as a HUcast's, and its MST isn't as high as any Force, but it's the mix of both I love. The FOmar will defiantly be my second character, and I want to make many Force friends.

to be honest i like both sides, i like to walk in to a room and blast everything to space dust, and i also like to hack everthing to lil fuzzy pieces, but i got tired of seein HUnewearls all over the place. Not only that, HUnnys ALWAYS have a crowd around them by some people who think thats a girl on the controller...anway back on topic, ill have a melee character and one magic character at first, i dunno bout the other 2 slots yet

Forces using weapons, usually as a last resort, if a Booma is in your face your not gonna use rafoie or rabarta, your gonna use what you have in your hand real quick-like and then run! Still sounds like SONIC TEAM knows what theyre doing, and believe me I'm gonna bitch if I find something to bitch about, lol!!

Forces were made to use techs not weapons. And if they use weapons they should use handguns.

something has been bugging about the FOmar, on the character creation screen the bio for him says something like.."with low hp and defensive powers the FOmar can be difficult to handle, but this is made up by his quickness in combat" its a pretty scetchy quote but, what does it mean exactly by "quickness in combat"?

Uhhh, maybe EVP? (not being sarcastic)

ok, i found the exact quote With low defensive power and low hp, FOmars are challenging to use. There combination of techniques and quickness in combat make them unique
so..what does that mean exactly? is it possible that the FOmar is statisticaly weaker than the other characters but somehow faster?

Cast faster than FOnewm!?
FOnewm was a pretty fast magic/tech caster to begin with. This would be very effective to use in battle then since there's no unit for faster magic casting besides gaining tech levels.

fomarls and fomars can still melee well but.... they need to be twinked in order to do so

I dunno, but it seemed to me that my FOmarl is actually quite fast a casting spells. The only spell that takes her an eternity to cast, generally, is Grants. Everything else seems to be cast quickly. Of course...except for the damned Barta spells.... >.<

That's kinda interesting. I'm excited to try the FOrce class now (FOmar inparticular). I'm partial to the melee action but I'm also intrigued by the tech casting.

Well as everyone has pretty much said thus far, Forces are not ment to physically fight anyways, espically not the newmans of the group. Even though it is still quite funny that the FOmarl is still going to be the ruff-and-tumble bruizer of the group considering FOmar takes hits harder than she does. Since my fighting has been rendered a bit useless, I will find it pleasing to delve into the more silly/stylish weapons that did not do much dammage anyways, like the Chao Striker or the Madam's Parasol. Hee hee

When it comes to a fo, i dont see the point in having less mst for more atp. Stick to what your good at. With my Fonewm lvl 92 i can do 484 rafoie in ult forest, who need melee when you get those kinds of results.

Hmmph, I'll still go with FOmar when I have a weak C9 team. I bet he can survive falz's big attack. =>_>=;;
I wonder if FOnewm will still have more mst than FOnewearl in challenge... he also casted faster when unarmed =>_<= I guess that leaves FOmarl out of the question for me =3

I'll take the cross dressin looks of a FOmar over the fat assed FOnewm no matter the mst.

Alright, here's a thing I noticed between male Forces vs female Forces (both humans and newmans). Male Forces have better ATP and ATA than female counterparts. This may seem unnoticable, but it'll show up in long run. On the other hand, female ones have better DEF and EVP than the males. This will also start to show in long run.

And it seems male Forces cast spells faster WITHOUT weapons, whereas female ones are other way around.

Also, I donno if you know this already, but I heard that each Forces are now "specialized" in different category of spells: FOnewms are best with RA-tech, FOmars with Gi-tech and Shifta & Deband, FOmarl with all support techs, and FOnewearls with basic-tech. I can't say for sure, since I never tested it out.

That is true to a point, but ST changed somethings.

Fonewearl max ata: 186
Fonewman max ata: 180
Fomarl max ata: 170
Fomar max ata: 168

Fonewearl max mst: not known yet but over 1700
Fonewman max mst: a little less than fonewearl
Fomar max mst: 1340
Fomarl max mst: 1284

It is interesting that ST made fomar have more mst than fomarl. When females usually have more mst than males
