I believe it has to do with either critical hits or accuracy or extra attack or all three or something like that. Sorry I dunno either ^.^

Let's say you have a vulcan with 30 hit%.Your accuracy will be increased by that of the vulcan, and an extra 30 from hit%.

Hit% is directly related to ATA

Hit% (The percent part is misleading though) raises the Attack accuracy of your weapon by the amount of Hit% you have.

People will swear by Hit%, but it's really only a nice thing to find occasionally.

EDIT: Beat to the punch!

Each % on it adds an extra point of ATA unlike mags which you need 2 levels for 1 ATA point
1% = 1 point to ATA
50% = 50 points to ATA

My ass it's nice "only occasionally."

It won't make a crappy weapon worthwhile to use but hit% on even marginally good weapons (say... the Justy or on Vulcans) will make them very useful.

Hit% is useful on mechs, where there base ATA is so low

Otherwise, yeah nice, only occasionally.

All the weapons in the game have enough base ATA to begin with, if you can't use them good, you suck at life.

Hit is just a nice bonus, nothing more.

ok, lets say you have 150 base ATA. The weapon had 100%hit, unlikely, but would your ATA be 300 (doubled by 100%) or 250 (1 ATA per %)?

I have a no hit Storm wand and a 10% hit storm wand and the 10% one says 10 more accuracy. Yo Noob!
