Neudaiz is sooooo prettttty..... the main city reminds me of my absolute favoirte city in Ragnarok Online.... and also the city where Yuffie lived in ff7.... I know those are japanese style villages.... but what would you call them, they are pretttty... built on the water like that and all <3

Moatoob. I've been a fan of the Wild Arms games for a few years, and Moatoob just screams out as a futurisitic wild-west. That, and I'm a sucker for desolate places like deserts.

Neudaiz ><! So asian http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif so traditional Japanese ;D I just love places like that http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Parum for the look, but had there been a Dezolis esque winter planet it would've been that one hands down!

Neudaiz all the way. Best scenery and best background music bar none.

Although those tech spamming enemies do sound like bastards...

Neudaiz, I like traditional asian style places, and its perfect for my main character.

Though neudaiz is absolutely beautifull and has everything i'd want in a paradise - I'm picking Moatoob.

Why?

The inhabitants there are most like me =)

Parum. I usually try to pick pretty areas with wide open places to start my characters out on. This is because it gives you a sense of security when first getting used to the game, and also with the wide open spaces, there won't be anything jumping out at me.

I've always liked the water. So Neudaiz is were you'll find me.

Parum, because the plains look wonderful. I love lush greenery and it's beautiful without being all asian-esque. XD

Moatoob cause I like to be different, and that place seems the most exciting with all the fugitives and pirates running around. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Parum has a perfect balance of beauty and technology. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

grasslands and waterfalls, and the one of the most beautiful futuristic cities I've seen , it looks like what Palm would have looked like if we were allowed to visit it in PSII. at the sametime, it also has that flavor of PSII era Motavia.

also the overall time of day for Parum is at it's most glorious hour, which is somewhere around the early afternoon. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I don't like dawn or dusk sky colors, so that's another reason why I love Parum over the other planets. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

so ya Parum will be the best planet for me. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Everyone will start out on the Guardian Colony. I would suggest gaining a few levels there and then moving on to Parum. The monsters on Neudaiz will tear a level 1 player apart. I imagine Moatoob will be the same way.

There's a pub... I can't pass up a pub. I'm going to Moatob ASAP.

ya Guardians Colony should be in the Poll too!

it may not be a planet but an entire civilization lives there too!

Aside from what Ryna said. I would have to go with Neudaiz. Like Kyuu said it has awesome background music. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

blah. Neudaiz is too asian inspired. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif

I expected something more alien and unique. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

the water is a good theme though. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Hopefully they make at least one snowy level to visit. It'd be nice if, maybe in an updated version of the game, they threw in an ice planet just for the hell of it. But I'd be perfectly content if they just threw in a few ice areas on the current planets.

Saner
Jul 15, 2006, 04:01 PM
well snow and ice might be found on Parum, since it has all sorts of climates and stuff.

Moatoob is least likely to have cold areas unless its underground.

you know, those Relics areas in Parum look pretty ice-like. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Parum... it has a very nice aesthetic between the hyper futuristic cityscape and lush green landscaping. Very reminicent of Camineet and Paseo. It also reminds me a bit of Balamb garden from FFVIII - which I loved the art design of.

Motowab is too sparce... I've never liked wastelands (which sucks, because I was stuck starting in Bastok in FFXI). Newdaiz is nice, but too "oriental" flavored. A nice place to visit, and I'm sure I'll spend a lot of time there, but I don't think I could call it my "home planet".

aaaah yes!!! I loved Balamb Garden!

Parum's city areas you can visit have that smooth futuristic yet fantasy feel to them too! but it looks even better than Balamb!

it also seems to have that 'futuristic architecture perfection' the Xenosaga cities have, but 100% better than that too! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

on a side note, Bastok wasn't so bad. Sandoria was too foresty. Jeuno was great but they all shared that rocky stony feel. although Ru-lude gardens was quite beautiful. Windhurst was really unique and well designed.

but anyway ya, overall PSU looks to have better terrain choices for the cities of each planet and missions, etc. Moatoob for hot wasteland lovers, Neudaiz for water lovers, and Parum for balanced terrain+technology lovers and Guardians Colony for space colony lovers.

But you know the SUPREME BONUS is that unlike FF11, PSU is not segregated into nations, the Gurhal system in a supreme alliance. No one is against or racist against anyone.

well ya storywise there may be, but GAMEPLAY-WISE, there are no limitations or contraditions to whoever you party with etc. etc.

PSU, like PSO, is more friendly and equal in cooperation and closeness of the different races, etc. etc.!! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif instead of working against each other, Phantasy Star brings the community closer together than separate factions that work against each other. so ya that's a huge plus about PSU.

if naughty players wanna go against other players, they can go play that corrupt Rising Force online. lol http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Parum. Love the whole "Humans being really advanced and civilized without destroying the planet" thing. Plus, it just seems like a really safe place for newbs fresh off the Colony.

But I like Neudaiz too. I heard that the monsters there make good target practice for gunners. Plus, I'm yet another sucker for the Asian stuff. I want my high-quality rice and crazy candies that wouldn't be found on those other planets! And maybe some chopstick Photon Arts.

As soon as I hit level 5, Parum, here I come. From the entire beta, the Parum Fields (I wish i could remember what they really are called) had the most memorable music, and is a great area for developing characters.

Oh and good news, I just bought a new 250 gig drive so I've got plenty of space for Screenshots and Videos.
