Remember the mile long phone line you got with DC? Do you get one with GC modem? If not, I guess I gotta get one, cause I need a long one.

I'm looking at mine and I guess its about 6-12 feet.
Man I'm bad at estimating, or I should just stretch the things out for real. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I always associated HUnewearls as HUnny bunnies.
Their ears are like rabbits, lesser like cats.
Meow that!

Most likely, they use standardized hardware. Just goto any electronics store and pick up a nice long phone line extension =)

On the DC modem, I just used a regular phone cord and it worked, so I'm guessing it will this time around.

Any phone line will work... as long as it has plugs on both ends...
Anywhere that sells home phones and answering machines should have the line... Walmart.. Target... KMart... Radio Shack.. etc...

You have to get PSO before you enter any information, there isn't any way to with just the modem.

From nintendo.com:
Modem Adapter - Set your dialing preferences
Below are the dialing preference setup menus as they appear in the game. To get to these menus, select "Options", then "Network Option", then "Provider Option" from the game's main menu. To move between menus, select the "Next" or "Back" buttons. The information needed to fill in these screens is obtained from your internet service provider.
1. Select Network Information Settings (Provider) This is where you set up a file to store modem settings. There are three files available, allowing you to select settings for up to three different Internet Service Providers.
2. Edit ISP Name Editing the ISP name allows you to replace the default provider name (e.g. Provider 1) with something you can recognize. We recommend using the name of your provider.
3. Modem Settings (Dialing settings) This is where you tell your modem how to dial out from your phone number. This includes tone/pulse dialing, dialing "9" before reaching a dial tone, etc.
4. ISP Settings1
(User Name, Password) This is where you enter your user name, password, and local access number. These should all have been provided to you by your internet service provider when you first started service.
5. ISP Settings2 (DNS) Domain Name Service (DNS) is the "name" of the computer you are talking to. In most cases, this will be found automatically by the adapter. If your internet service provider has given you a DNS, you will need to enter it here.
6. Browser Settings (Proxy) This menu is for addressing a proxy server. Unless you're in an office or know you use a proxy server, this screen should be left blank.
7. Save Settings After you have completed the other settings, choose "Save Settings" to complete your setup and return to the game's main network menu. You're now ready to Buy a Hunter's License.
