animated pics

Is it possible to put an animated gif file in a post? I tried a few minutes ago doing the whole (img)pic(/img) thing (with brackets of course), but it didn't work. Anybody know?

Why not? You see the wacko in my sig? It's animated. I use {img}url{/img}. Nothing so hard or mysterious about it.
