The Sega Dreamcast was a great system.Sadly Sega discontinued production of this wonderous system because of insufficient funds and not fast enough production time. Sega Dreamcast will always hold a special place in our hearts!

DVD provided competition to GD type optical discs, creating competition, and a lack of demand. Ergo, capitalism reared its ugly head and killed Dreamcast in the world market. Japan on the other hand saw continued new sales up until rather recently.

*sigh* I will never sell my dreamcast.

Especially since the trade-in value for Dreamcast games at gamespot is like <$1.00...

I'm part of the church of Sega. We believe that some day we shall all see the second coming of the dreamcast, and it shall be good. God forgive the n00bs, and praise dreamcast. It's still thinking...

Shit marketing killed the dreamcast.

Alien Front online was innovative, as much as PSO.

It just wasn't well advertised.

X-Box did wonders with live.

But that's because they concentrated advertising around Live, and had alot of mainstream games.

And while Dreamcast was a very innovative machine, and ahead of its time, AND a decent price, the majority of people wanted mainstream games, which Dreamcast didn't offer.
