This video shows 98 variations of hats alone in the store.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=bxaycXmU7mg&search=Phantasy%20Star%20Universe%20PSU

Also there is one that looks pretty much like the FOnewearl-jester type hat (for those who were disappointed at not seeing it)

Close this if someone already posted please.

The video was sorta shot for PSOW, as a reference. Anyway, if you like it you may want to check out the other videos uploaded by the same user as well.

Very cool. Even tho theres alot of redundancy on the list, there's still quite alot of variations to please anyone. I'm also willing to bet that ST will probably offer extra ones at a later date. So, I'm not worried. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Yeah. Think about how much variation there will be after, say the first or second update. Finaly! An mmo (or whatever) without the same old redundancy in character clones! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

it's loading sooo slow. does it even work? wow. heavy traffic maybe.

oh there it goes. ya. the reason why you see the same accessories cycled over and over again is because of course for each hairstyle, they have to manually add those accessories to adapt to each type. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

I seriously hope that you can alter the color of the jester hat. The black stipes aren't do'n it for me.
But yes! Glasses! Woo-hoo! I wonder if casts can use them too.

It'll be strange for my FOcaseal to not have 20/20 vision, but I'd still like her with glasses anyways.

This is as good a place to ask as any regarding something I have wondered but havent found the specific answer to yet. Do we have a closet in our room, so to speak? Can we buy all these different sets of clothes and accessories and change into and out of them as we desire, or is it like more like a beauty shop with the ability to change into various things, each time with a fee? I have been assuming (and hoping) the former. Having a room leads me to believe it'd work that way.

buying new clothes costs money.

you do have a closet, um I think. or better specifically, dressing room.

but you can carry extra clothes with you like inventory items, but I think there are limits to where you can change clothes.
I think so far you can change clothes in your dressing room, and places like that hot spring in Neudaiz. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

yes PSO's way was RIDICULOUS. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Sort of, though in PSO all my characters had the problem of waaaayyy too much meseta always. Seems like that wont be an issue in PSU. I dont know what the meseta accumulation rate is like for PSU (they probably lowered it?) but there is SO much to buy to build the better wardrobe that it looks like I'll actually be happy to be earning meseta again.

The fee for PSO's changing room wasn't ridiculous at all considering everyone was richer than Andrew Carnegie.

sort of off topic but when u kill monsties in PSU do they drop boxes like PSO coz the videos ive seen theres no drops

AeraLure
Jul 28, 2006, 06:33 PM
This one has drops. I'd have to look again to see what they were. Most I assume are meseta (the yellow ones). There's a green one along the way, as well as a blue one in one of the boxes. Possibly the same color indicators as PSO.

What i meant was, You have to pay to change into clothes you already had in PSO. PSU is different, you buy your apparel set and you keep it in your room closet. I Hope.

Saner

yes you can keep them in your dressing room, or more accurately, your Partner Machinery or Bank.

you can even carry extra clothes with you in the inventory space, useful if you wanna change at a hot spring or something.
