I just read this post over at gamespot in the ffxiii thread:

So I'm gonna estimate that the average ps2 player is somewhere between 15-18 based on this post. Just wondering how it panned out with the PSO/PSU fans.

I'm 21 with a job. The only reason I got my job was to buy a computer and pay for Blue Burst's fees. But now I don't play it because I just hate the absolutely brutal exp loss in that game. They finally come up with a cheat-free PSO but of course sonic team has to find a different way to ruin the experience... *rants insanely for hours on end*

Anywho, alls well. I don't get out much, but I don't really see myself as a geeky mom's basement guy in the future. You could call me a loner, but at school I have a good amount of friends and people I know. Where I used to live, I had some friends that I'd go out with sometimes, but since moving here, things've kinda been slower. Bla Bla Bla.
Anyways, I'm at a tv-watching chillaxing and relaxing phase/point in my life right now. Not to say I don't do anything, because I do have a job and I go out to my cousin's house a lot (he's like 8 years old, but we go there almost every week, so it counts as 'me doing something').
I don't play that much videogames, to be honest. I mean, if I get a new game, I play it a lot, but after a while, it's back to doing 'other' useless stuff like watching tv or whatnot.
Anyways (how many times've I said that?), I'm hoping things pick up once I start post-secondary schooling (aka college/university). Also, I still gotta get my hands on a driver's license since there's an extra car on my driveway that I may be able to drive every now and then.
Bla bla bla. Cruisectrl, don't be worried. Just be ready to move out when you're older and you'll be fine. I'm assuming once you move out, you won't want to do 'nothing' anymore because you'll be alone in your empty apartment.
I don't do much of anything now, as I've stated previously. Maybe that'd change in university/college - when I may meet some alright, new people. If i doesn't pick up, then I guess I'm doomed. By doomed I mean 'a friend at work, alone at home' kinda thing.
That's kinda how it is now. I have friends at school, but I don't really do anything with them.
Maybe an explanation is because I don't really feel a need to go out to socialize. I have a twin brother (we're ferternal) that I hang out with and we have a good bit in common and a good amount to talk about. I'm sure if he wasn't here I'd be urging to go out and do something with people.

I hate to admit that I'm living with my parents now, but it's only because I'm sick to death of factory work and I'm attending collage starting next month, so I need to save all the money I possibly can. Besides... I'd rather get my digree as soon as possible and move on to either further my education or get a job in the tech industry - and I can't really focus on school 100% if I'm worrying about bills and the crap I'd have to deal with at work.

I think I'm just going to make a blog and link reviews of games & stuff to Amazon to make beer money and spare change while I'm schooling. I guess that'd be considered a full time job as well - but hey.. at least it's doing what what I have an interest in.

BTW I'm 25. I'm not fat or asian. I got my bachelor's degree and I'm pretty happy with my job. I'm not a game freak, but I really enjoy PSO. I've actually been playing it since you were in the third grade - and gaming longer than you've been alive. Aside from gaming, I played softball for 11 years, I work out a couple times a week, go clubbing on the weekends and have a pretty busy social life.

I'm 20, I'll be 21 in September. Started PSO in high school, and went back to play PS IV later. Although I did play a bit of PS II on Sega Channel. BTW, work gave me an early birthday present, they fired my ass.

It'll suffice to say that everything you said Cruisectrl... Is wrong. You can only pick out the negatives, because there are no positives within the statement. Your opinion is your opinion, it's not correct in anyway, and to all of use older then you, it's basically negative. Although someday, you'll learn about life.

That's all up to you, it's not as easy to "Go out and get a job" as you may think. Nor is it that easy to "Go out and live on your own." The only person that can say that, is someone that's had an easy life, or has never had to do those things in the first place.

I am 13 love pso to death, I have been playing sense it came out on gc, lol and playing with older people is so much better because they dont steal your stuff or tell you to stfu or hack the game.

I've just always found it strange. Apparently it's better for me to go and drink myself into a coma then it is to stay home and play games with friends on a Saturday night.

I did that drinking and clubbing thing already, it was a waste of money and alot of blurry memories/compromising pictures. No more pelase...

I've been into Phantasy Star since the beginning. Yes, I'm that old. LOL Seriously. PS1 was my first RPG & I've loved it ever since. No matter what other RPGs I play, I'll still come back to my 1st love. I was about 12 or 13 when I first played it, which would make me 30 now.

Good to know my husband and I weren't the only couples playing PSO. And I have to say, it's watching my husband play online that made me wanna play. And I've been hooked ever since.
The idea of playing with other gamers in real time from Japan, to Mexico, to Italy was such a great experience for me. It was sad to hear the servers were seperated after DC, but PSO is still PSO.

I too don't care about other player's age. All I request is respect and politeness when playing. Hell, I prefer to play with a wide spectrum of players from all crazy locations and ages. Variety trully is the spice of life, no?

Anyways....
My husband is also in his higher 20's. (to get back on topic).
