Cut Wires Keyboard GC Method

does anyone know if this method actually works?

cutting a gamecube extension cable and cutting a computer keybaord wire and attaching the two so that the keyboard links to the cube ext cable and the keybaord is essentially connective to the gamecube?

i heard someone did that and fried their controller ports... so i dont think its too smart to try it

Well, the thing is, nobody has actually tried it. People keep saying that it does that, and maybe with a reason, but nobody has actually tried it for sure.

I think it's possible, speaking from a logic point of view. The keyboard uses the same plug, so i'll bet they're interchangable. Just a thought though.

I read on IGN that the creator of this method tried it and it messed up the controller ports. The same thing was posted on ragol.com by another person. I would never try it. To all those who do and waste a GameCube, I laugh at you. ;_;
