Arkz: I suck ;_;

I STILL cannot beat the Arkz side of the story and I got this game on launch day! Could someone give me and hand and reccomend a deck and SC to use on the game's final two Arkz bosses? Thanks bunches.

When you look around on this site, you'll find various guides to help you. You can find one of them here (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=2304).
What I found helpfull was adding creatures and cards with AP silence. Since Castor will hit you almost every turn, and Amplum can do the same, it helps when you lower their AP constantly. Sinow Spigell (http://www.pso-world.com/items.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1558&version=v4&sortby=card_number) is a good one.
And regarding Amplum, don't let all the high-costs it sets scare you. Typically it won't properly use those, and sooner or later Amplum will use Meteor, setting the HP of his creatures to 1 too. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

i like to use a hyze /rampage deck, offline. I hope you have hyze as an sc so far. if not any other should work well. I use a gobooma and sinow zoa standing next to him. use the ac card 'knock out' with the gobooma, then thwack the sc with a pumped up zoa with mine briteness, then whack em with hyze. this should kill the spam and hurt the opponent sc at the same time. this goes without saying but i say it, lol, make sure to have plenty of defense. hope that idea helps.

yw, not that my advice was helpfull due to you asking about the bosses and not the scs. my mistake for not reading thru fully, lol. but on boss fights i use rufina with gilchick and st rappy. and heavy atck/heavy slashes, also dice fever. i atk with gilchick fisrt then st rap then heavy atk w rufina. but you won already, so my advise isuseless again, lol. glad you finally beat it!

For castor, 3 red slimes, restart if you don't start with 1 in your hand. place one red slime all the way to the right and move your char all the way to the left. restart if a red slime doesn't appear after draw. Castor will go after the slimes instead of your char. The rest is simple.

I have a guide to beating Castor on my website, CARDrevolution (of which the link is in my signature) in the R-Base section. This guide will tell you most of the things that Castor can do, and suggests methods to get around these.

The progression to Amplum Umbra is more difficult - but I would suggest that you run three copies of Guard and also a very cheap universal effective Assist Card (such as Dice+1) in case Umbra summons the Flatland Assist Card.

I have found that Merlans prove to be very effective against both of these bosses, as do Morfos. If you are using these, then you can also run some DK Guards in case you are attacked by a very powerful move. Cancel might also be useful if you are using high powered creatures against Umbra, the Meteor will then effect you.

I will warn you though - Umbra has Guard Creatures and some frustratingly good Defense Cards, notably Resist and Companion.

I beat Castor only once with my crappy rappy deck, but two times with my spcial boss deck with Break (considering amplum aswell). I would NOT advise with my crappy rappy. I used Rufina with many 1 point enemies, like rappies, mothmants. The thing is, it was damn hard, and I did it like that because I didn'thave many cards (it was the first boss I did so no amplum, and I hadn't even started hunter story mode). The break deck is something like this:

Break - Hope

-3 Dark Defence/Shield because the bosses are seen as dark enemies, so whatever the damage inflicted, you stop it all http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif
-Some dodges and guards and don't forget weakness, damn what a good card!
-Gaurd creatures, that's all I used, Bartle, Pan Arms and especially Dubchichs to prevent damage on Break. Also, don't put them near Castor, use them only for Amplum.
-All the other cards were Dice + (for amplum cos of the flatland he may put), Foie, Barta, Zonde, Split boost, heavy attack.... that kinda stuff that can do loads of damage on the enemy without having a too high cost. And that can be used by your little guard creatures, so you can attack amplum with a combo and get it's remaining life points away without making it boost.

Castor is in fact easier than Pollux depending from the characters you use. Yes, You're an Arkz with Castor, but Pollux has the Solid Gaurd, so basically if you're a hunter it's kinda bad. I always use forces for Pollux. Atleast with creatures you can solve things better.
