There has been no news of a US beta or demonstration disc yet.

I doubt there will be....I mean think about it...the japanese psu website has a bunch of info on the game while our site has nata

Not to mention that kind of thing never happens over here O_o for some reason that type of promotion isn't as popular. I think Guild Wars is the most recent game that has done something similar with the pre-order packages

The likelihood of seeing any preorder swag (even somehing as little as a keychain) on US shores is minimal-to-none... >:/

Hey if you string together some lifesavers you can have a lifesaver bracelet! They look kind of something you'll find Phantasy Star Universe, so who needs pre-order goodies when we can make our own? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

That's actually a good idea.

And no, no word what-so-ever, and I doubt that the U.S., U.K., or Canada will get a Beta of any kind.

RF Online had a Pre-Release Preview over here and that was by Sega, it was handed out in gamestation stores across the U.K. a month before release and that only came out a few months ago. So Yeah Sega DO still do that kind of thing. =D

I'd rather have a demo first, being as that will be the only way some of my online friends will even touch PSU.

Yeah some people will try before they buy and some will not buy because theyre cheap. It may not be worth it, so they don't risk it.

An English demo would be nice, but I have my doubts about seeing one.

At the moment, it seems like PSU is going to be a low-key release in the United States. Sega of America's PSU display at E3 was lacking and the official English site is pathetic.

BlueBurst had an open beta. I'm sure PSU will have at least a closed beta.

Blue Burst only had an open beta to draw people into it. And for ST to test how well they could make a game server side. This is a new game, and doesn't exactly need to draw people in, in the same sense. The info they got from the JP closed beta, and the priemere disk will likely be enough to find any bugs in their server.
