the videos work on DivX. dont use WMP or it might freeze.

the catch is that these videos someone found for me are incomplete, they do not show the cutscenes involving Leo, or gameplay, the Vol Brothers, or anything like that. just the opening, prologue CG cinemas and the special chapter 2 sneak peek video after completing the story demo.

It's watashiwa's website. There's "illegal content" on it so to speak, hence why watashiwa wasn't linking to the stuff himself. He mentioned its existance on another thread instead.

you know that link is missing a whole bunch of cutscenes Panda mentioned in their description of the story demo walkthrough.

The reason is because the ones on that website are actual movies transcoded from the files on the DVD, while the other stuff is rendered with the in-game engine.

Personally, I'd say that's kind of a specious argument for the (ill)legality of the files. The demo's been released publicly (or rather, as publicly as any retail game, albeit with a very limited run). Not that I really doubt there isn't an argument against them, but I doubt anybody would get in arms about a download link to, say, the FMV ending of an old Playstation Final Fantasy game ripped right from the disc, and there isn't anything different about the situation here. Maybe I'm wrong though; I've just never personally seen any real objection to that sort of thing.

Of course, I wouldn't link to it anyway, since I'd imagine it's not kosher with the rules of the forum (arbitrary or not), and especially since it is on watashiwa's webspace, and if you go digging through one of that guy's video folders, there's no telling what sort of horse porn or snuff films you might run into. He's a scary guy!

I wasn't referring to those PSU files in terms of legality actually, I was more referring to the other wonderful toys on watashiwa's website, which are very clearly "illegal" by this site's standards.

I personally have no objection to the posting of the files, but hey... what can you do.
