As usual, I go through a few JP imageboard sites, and look up new pictures and info. It's a daily occurance ofr me now, as PSU's release looms closer. Anyways, I checked not only 10 minutes ago, and saw this:

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b326/Crimson_Asmodeus/PSU%20Stuffs/weaps2.jpg
(shrunken for the board's sake)

From what I've been able to get from this, is that Crossbows are exclusively made by Tenora Works. Other than that, some of these weapon deisgns are truely awesome looking.

If I find any more gems like this, I'll be sure to let you know.

It would be nice to have a link to the full size image. The shrunken image is pretty blurry. Nice find btw http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

http://brigade.netgamers.jp/psu/imagebbs/img-box/img20060815001722.jpg - is the full link that Nisshoku posted in IRC.

It's still rather blurry though, I really want a hi-res version of this picture.

I want that heart rod so badly for my FOcast. I can just see it now "It's magical robot transformation time!"

That Shot on the bottom looks kinda iffy. Why does it have to be so spikey? Looks like one could hurt oneself if they held it wrong.

Looking at one of the mechguns in that pic ive just realised one of the guns bares a striking resemblance to a Boltgun from Warhammer.

I was just about to say the exact same thing. It looks just like a Space Marine's boltgun. Even though I much prefer Warhammer Fantasy to Warhammer 40,000 it would be cool if this game had other WH40k weapons like Lascannons and Chainswords (the cool looking WH40k chainswords, not the lame-by-comparison-but-still-very-cool PSO Chainsawd). PSO already had oversized weapons just like WH40k so it's not much of a stretch.

Hey Lord_DS, is that the only size ythat pic came in? I've love to see it larger.

The gun in the top right hand corner sorta resembles a Lascannon you could always just make noises everytime you use it XD.

Based on the two mechguns on the bottom left corner, would it be safe to assume that some weapons will be using bullets instead of whimpy photon energy?

Hm.. these samples, again, stirred my desire to add this book to my collection... soon. ;]

Man those weapon pics are great, I only wish they had included at least a couple sword/saber designs. Although seeing all of those firearms makes me forget all about the lightsabers, but not a super badass laconian/adamantium alloy katana with a laser infused diamond edge.

I like the other 2 bow designs we havent seen befor, the 4th rifle design, the supresed gun looking hand gun, and especaly the 2nd mech gun design, and the revolver looking hand gun still looks cool to .

all weapons are photon based. photons are also a part of elements too.

plus I think photon is kind of like plasma, it can burn through almost anything!

bullets just bounce off of harder materials, even simple metals. so photon is stronger than ballistic ammo.

Some of you guys mentioned that heart-tipped wand earlier. On that subject, it looks like that's the first weapon to be revealed which wasn't made by G.R.M., Tenora Works or Yohmei. A while back I translated a description for a synth material found on the black market called Kubara wood, and discussion of the possibility of other weapons makers started. From what I can tell, it looks like the maker of this wand is in fact Kubara. So we now have our fourth weapons maker, unless you want to count G.R.M. Crimson (Magashi's weapons are by this company) as a completely separate group from G.R.M.

Hmm maybe you can use bullets for some guns. It might be a speical creation though from use of your PM. Im thinking that you might use bullets because in previous PSO games there were those old fashion rilfes you could use which used bullets. they were rare weapons so maybe they'll make a return but the only way to get them would be from creating them.

Which in turn bears a striking resemblance to the design of more than one real life machinegun. It's a pretty generic design, really, with the exception of the colors. It's quite possible the artist made that design without ever seeing WH40k.

Also, keep in mind that just because it's in the art book doesn't mean it made it into the final game as a model.

The gun in the top right hand corner sorta resembles a Lascannon you could always just make noises everytime you use it XD.The katakana to the right of that gun reads "Laser Cannon," so actually the game will make the laser sounds for you, seeing as how it is, in fact, a laser cannon.

Holy crap, I just realized.

Sonic Team designed all "photon" based weapons. Therefore, Sonic Team is controlled by the Covenant. They don't want no "primitive" earth weapons in their game. We must rebel before it's too la~ *gets sniped by a Jackal*

Yeah, the fact that Kubara/Kubala is a weapons manufacturer in it's own right is interesting. I wonder what you would get if you synthesised a weapon that required ??? Wood with Kubara Wood...
