I'm wondering, anyone find any snapshot from the Premier Disc as someone with a short male character?

I'm just wondering how short my character will actually look on PSU. When I used the Character Creation thing originally, he looked like

Yeah, short

Then, only recently, I set the settings to the highest resolution, and remade him

Don't mind the Newman http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

And he doesn't look all that short there. Is it just the resolution playing tricks on me?

Is there any video made of a particularily short character/particularily tall character, so I can get an idea of the difference ingame?

While making your character, I'm assuming the top line is 6ft

See this thread (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=117071&forum=20&21) for an example...

It looks like you're set to a widescreen resolution on a regular monitor. They're way too skinny

HAHAHAHAAAAA the top line is like 8 ft its pretty tall. I thought I was making Aero a good size, but turned out he was a shrimp >_<

so the default size is shorter than 'normal'? what is the default, like 5' something?

it might be tough to gauge even when playing and comparing heights with others. some might think they chose 6 ft. but they are actually 8 ft and they look giants while others look like halflings. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

so ya hmmm.

Theres no, like, measurement on the uh, grid line things...? It would be kinda hard to know how tall/short you are making your character then. They should at least write the Ft. on the lines. If it's not in the JP version I hope they at least add it in the EN version.
It will be annoying making a character thinking you made them the perfect hight and then in game you find out they are too tall/short.

well I think if we base our adjusted height on the default height (which I think many will use unless they are aiming to be shorter or taller than normal),

then it might not be that hard to understand how short is too short and vice versa. besides with 4 character slots people could quickly hop online and measure themselves with people they come across. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

lol, once again Saner looks on the brighter side of things. I agree it shouldn't be hard to get the right size you want (I'm assuming you can delete a character and make a new one in his/her place) just be quick and if you think you're too tall/short delete before you do anything else and re-make your char.

That top line can't be 8ft... the default male human is just above that line.. and the default male beast seems to be around 6'4".. if not a little taller

j"ust above that line"? ??????????

how can that be the "top line" if humans are above that by default? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif wouldn't a top line not be able to be surpassed?

Oh... that's right, Saner... you've never tinkered with the real character creation yet, have you?

PSO had the same problem, you couldn't tell how big your character actually was. Don't expect them to fix that for PSU.

It's the "top line" because there are no other liens above it. It's just a part of the box surrounding your character in character creation.
