From the Gamcube PSO Instruction Booklet:
WARNING:We reserve the right to terminate your user account for the use of innapropriate symbols while online copyright 2002 Sega.

It hurt me to see things like a building, airplane, and crude turban-ed face in one symbol while in the DC versions. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I knew a person who created ones with stick figures commiting sexual acts. They were funny in the right moment but were really wrong "morally." He can't do that now. No more "panda/bear/animal mating symbols" either you sickos.

Edit=name change from "sigs to symbols" to release any confusion if at all. :0

Oh and since you're getting XBOX version my friend, you must already know they can mute people with offensive language and or ban them for such offenses. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
Play nice! or you get banned!

How on earth do they employ MUTEING? Surely they couldn't know all the offence words in the world?
Maybe they just check on complaints?
I mean the phrase 'Dangle Berry' has words that are perfectly harmless but use them in an offensive way and its harmful (er..to some)
I wonder if the servers will store peoples Icon's then check through them to find offensive pictures, then finding the combination for that icon will then have that banned? Lots of combinations to check through..

The best solution for offensive stuff is to just to ignore it, then nothing can realy offend you.

You can opt to mute characters. E.g., I could mute Abdur for saying "dick-girls" too much.

Xbox Live uses Voice Chat and I too was a little confused until I tried it for myself (I just got the BETA kit 2 days ago!)... You see, you simply select the character you want to mute... and hit a on "mute NameofPErson" and you don't hear them. You can also mute yourself by hitting a button the communicator (good if you don't want ppl hearing what u are saying to other around you!) People can also submit negative feedback (kinda like on eBay) if you curse alot and/or really annoying. (lots of negative feedback can lead to suspended accts and banning) Cheat free PSO it's possible on Xbox. There is no greater power than X http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
