No.

No MAGS, means no photon blasts.
Beasts and Casts have their Nanoblasts and SUV weapons to sortof replace the photon blasts, but from what we've seen Nanoblasts are far better than any photon blast. SUV weapons are abit more comparible.

I didnt like mags, they felt like babysitters.

I hated relying most of my bonus stats on some little floating thing. and having to feed it my precious items I paid for. okay... so I'm not a pet lover, but I'm glad they're not back. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

well I'm a heavy classic Phantasy Stars fan and those heroes never needed some 'MAG' to hold your hand and do some cheesy super blast attack that freezes time and space to get you out of a bind. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I'm glad the PMs stay at home and you can evolve them into warriors you have the option of taking with you into missions if you like. but its great they are in no way linked to your stats like Mags were.

There was nothing wrong with mags though i gotta admit PM's turning into warriors and fighting alongside you seems alot better.

i didnt like relying on the for bonus stats either but i thought they were kool...on the other hnd what ive seen of the pm's im gonna have a good time

Well you didnt have to rely on Mags for stats alot of the people i played alongside had non rare mags etc but theres nothing wrong with getting a massive ATP boost from the old Sega Saturn.

SUVs are pretty similar to PBs.
@Junker: They do not have a gender. Their appearance is decided like for mags; on what you feed them.
