No kidding. So many 'S' level abilities, people weren't kidding when the term "Super Ethan" was first coined.

Just noticed that the ranger can equip a rod, which is a weapon that you can't melee with, and therefore link techs to. That means rangers CAN use techs, at least in the case with offline mode. This means that Gamespot was correct.

What the GOD.

Well he's Super Ethan, you know? His class abilities are different. Hell, even the Ethan Hunter can use a wand. Gamespot's article isn't precise enough to be correct.

I'm guessing that Ethan's attack techs won't be very powerful at all and the main reason that we'll want to have a wand on him is for resta and other support techs, since you won't have any (useful) teammates for that offline.

I just noticed that the fan type weapon's icon is not even listed on the weapons that eathan can use, does this mean they scrapped it?

I can't help but wonder if this is somewhat reflective of what the classes will be able to equip when leveled up considerably for online mode characters.

The axe and launcher aren't in the screenshots either.

Hunter Ethan can use rifles and shotguns. Ranger Ethan can use swords. I doubt leveling up only one class would make those weapons available, but maybe those are the weapons available for the expert classes?

maybe weapons don't appear on your menu untill you are able to equip them as one of your classes.

Hmm, good point. Axe could be under sword, launcher could be under bow, and fan could be to the right of crossbow. That actually makes a lot of sense; the gap between crossbow and machinegun did look kindof weird.

I heard Ethan is not bound by tech restrictions when he's a Hunter or a Ranger....I can't quote it but i'm almost positive I read it on this site and if someone could provide the link I would greatly appreciate it....But if that is the case then he might not be bound to weapon restrictions......In my opinion it has nothing to do with the whole expert level thingy. (My opinion)

but this is a demo, right? I don't think he'll start with all rank S maybe. or maybe so.

in any case ya it's weird in that Hunter pic, Axe is nowhere in the list. hmmm.

well those are premiere demo pics right? that might explain why there is a great deal of weapon icons missing in that rank chart.

Uh..

Second pic makes it look like there are sub-classes to the three classes.

lets look at those Golden S Rank symbols again! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

http://psu.rdy.jp/src/up2325.jpg

oooooooh..... they almost seem to sparkle.... *dring!* http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

hey notice his weapon ranks are S yet his Class Level is still at lv.1!!!!!!!! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

what does this mean??? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

I guess he has no class level requirements to be able to use advanced weapons like Twin Claws. but in the beta, claws were clearly greyed out for online players yet their Hunter class level were like 3 or 4.

aaaaah hopefully we don't need to be at level 20 class to use all the weapons that class can use. cause 20 seems like a little but it will take a long time to get there.

Seems silly to let your main character be super to start with. In a demo that's all and well, but in the main game you'll want to struggle and believe progress was made. Otherwise it's just an easy and free version of the online mode with some story.

I assume of course that these amenities, if you will, create some sort of advantage for Ethan which may not be the case. And my grasp on the particulars of the system may be shaky so I'll just shut the fuck up and keep drinking scotch until I fall asleep.
